Ugly, but cooperative enough to stand still while I took a few photos. This little stinkbug was about a half-inch long, not including the antennae. Taken with a Super-Takumar 35/3.5 and a set of extension tubes.

i went way out on a limb here (pun intended) because for the first time, i used manual focus. i'm probably the last person to realize that you can get much closer shots using manual focus instead of auto focus. i did use auto exposure because truthfullly, it was all a little overwhelming at first :) this learning curve is huge for me...lots of trial and error :) he must have sensed my need for practice, because he would sit there, then fly away and come right back so i could get another shot....over and over again :)
