The sawn-oof square ends of the seat and lateral stay are an ill-match for the dome-and-slotted ends of the chainstays..But Hey! - I have seen similar treatment on Jack Taylor frames and he was a highly revered and reputed builder. On the gent's Cyclotoursite frame - very obviously a hand-built job - the ends of the stays are scolloped out in true French style..and brazed to the same drop-outs.
I'm sure that Percy Stallard copied this design ..for his own-brand drop-outs in the 50s..
The pressed steel drop-outs are the same as those Urago often used for his top models ( see below). However the crude manner of atteching the gear hanger to the chainstay leaves much to be desired when compared with the hand-fashined bracket on the Urago Cyclotouriste bike (see below)

Hans Junkermann (1872-1943) was a prolific German character comedian noted for his gauche manner and walrus moustache. In films from 1911, including a brief 1930 sojourn in Hollywood, acting in German-language versions of American films under the direction of Jacques Feyder. Subsequently, he was seen in many German A-grade productions until he died in 1943. He was married to the Austrian actress Julia Serda.
Hans Ferdinand Junkermann was born in 1872 in Stuttgart. He was the son of the court actor August Junkermann and his wife, the actress Rosa Le Seur. His brother Fritz (1883-1942) was also an actor. Hans graduated from high school and joined his father's touring theatre company after dropping out of his studies at a military pedagogy school in Berlin. This was followed by a theatre tour of the USA and his debut in the play 'Onkel Bräsig' by Fritz Reuter in 1893 at the Zentral-Theater Berlin, where his father had taken over the management. Junkermann's other stations as a theatre actor were the Thalia Theatre in Hamburg in 1895, the Weimar Theatre, the Court Theatre in Wiesbaden and from 1896 the Thalia Theatre in Berlin. From 1902 to 1915 he belonged to the ensemble of the Trianon Theatre.
In 1911 Hans Junkermann made his debut as a silent film actor in Vater und Sohn/Father and Son (Walter Schmidthässler, 1910) with Alwin Neuss for Vitascope. Director Max Mack engaged him in 1913 for the film Wo ist Coletti?/Where is Coletti? (Max Mack, 1913). After the film became a success, he got many other offers to play in films, so Hans Junkermann decided against the theatre and cancelled his contract with the Trianon theatre. He limited himself to guest appearances at Berlin stages in the following years. The lanky Junkermann, whose trademark was his moustache, developed into a busy supporting actor in German films. He played Polonius in Hamlet (Svend Gade, 1921), the German film adaptation of the William Shakespeare play 'Hamlet' starring and produced by Danish silent film actress Asta Nielsen. He also played a supporting role in Maciste und die Tochter des Silberkönigs/Maciste e la figlia del re dell'argento/Maciste and the Silver King's Daughter (Luigi Romano Borgnetto, 1922), a German-Italian silent epic film starring Bartolomeo Pagano, and Helena Makowska. He also appeared in the silent comedy Prinzessin Trulala/Princess Trulala (Erich Schönfelder, Richard Eichberg, 1926) starring Lilian Harvey, Dina Gralla and Harry Halm, and the silent comedy Durchlaucht Radieschen (Eichberg, 1926-27) with Xenia Desni. In 1928 Junkermann had a rare starring role opposite Adele Sandrock in the comedy Serenissimus, der Vielgeliebte, und die letzte Jungfrau (Leo Mittler, 1928). All in all, until 1930 Hans Junkermann acted in over 110 German silent films, often in supporting parts such as aristocrats, high-ranked military, circus and vaudeville managers, impresarios and police commissioners.
In 1930 Hans Junkermann appeared three times in Hollywood in German versions of American productions. The most famous is Anna Christie (Jacques Feyder, 1930), a German-language film adapted from the 1921 Eugene O'Neill play of the same title and filmed following the release of the English-language original version of the same adaptation earlier the same year. Both versions feature leading actress Greta Garbo. In the early years of sound films, Hollywood studios produced foreign-language versions of some of their films using the same sets and sometimes the same costumes, with native speakers of the language usually replacing some or all of the original cast. The German-language version of Anna Christie is one of the few that survives. Back in Germany, he took over the management of the Schauspielhaus Steglitz from 1931 to 1934, and in 1933 he co-founded the film and stage club Kameradschaft der Deutschen Künstler. He was furthermore employed by Harry Piel for his films such as in Pipin der Kurze (1934) and Artisten (1934) where he impersonated one of his most imposing roles. In 1940 he received the appointment as a state actor. Hans Junkermann was on stage at Berlin theatres until the end, for example at the Theater am Schiffbauerdamm. His last appearance was in Akrobat schö-ö-ön (1943) at Charlie Rivel's side. He died in Berlin in 1943 at the age of 71. His grave in the Heerstraße cemetery in Berlin-Westend has not been preserved. Hans Junkermann was married to the actress Julia Serda from 1911 and was the stepfather of Charlotte Serda.

museumPASSmusees 2023 - Mima - Local Heroes
Local Heroes combines, in the manner of the ancient Greek gymnasium, exercises of the body and the mind. For 4 months, MIMA is a temple of boxing and arts interacting with the visitor.
Local Heroes is a reinterpretation of the ancient Greek gymnasium: a place dedicated to the education of youth in the values of the city through sport and the arts. In this logic, the spaces in the exhibition are reserved either for the practice of boxing or for the celebration of local athletes. The whole is enhanced by artistic interventions born from the meeting between creators and boxers. Posters, photographs, videos and wall paintings are the favourite mediums in the aesthetics of boxing.
The choice of boxing is based on a historical, social and cultural reason. Firstly, the ancestor of boxing, pugilism, was widely practiced in gymnasiums throughout antiquity. Secondly, the boxing community sociologically reflects the youth of the Brussels city centre. Finally, compared to other sports, it is a major source of inspiration for the arts.
Check the daily sports program at the museum throughout the exhibition.
And exceptional events and nocturnes.

Latere eigenaars waren respectievelijk:
The Château of Modave (French: Château de Modave), also known as the Château des Comtes de Marchin (Château of the Counts of Marchin) is a château near the village of Modave in Liège Province, Wallonia, Belgium.
The oldest part of the building, the donjon, was built on a strategic rock high above the valley of the river Hoyoux. The oldest parts still visible today date probably from the 13th century and were erected by the lords of Modave. In the 16th century the castle and the estate of Modave became the property of the Haultepenne and de Saint-Fontaine families.
In the next century Jean-Gaspard-Ferdinand de Marchin (1601–1673), a great military commander, acquired the castle and turned it from a medieval fortress into a luxury Baroque residence. His son Ferdinand de Marsin neglected the property and lived in France.
Later owners were successively:
Maximilian Henry of Bavaria, Elector of Cologne and Prince-Bishop of Liège (1682–1684);
Cardinal Wilhelm Egon von Fürstenberg, and his heirs (1684–1706);
Baron Arnold de Ville (1706–1772); and
Anne-Léon, Duke of Montmorency, and his heirs (1772–1817).
In the 19th century it was owned by the non-noble families of Lamarche, Braconier and Van Hoegaerden. Finally, the Compagnie Intercommunale Bruxelloise des Eaux ("Brussels Intercommunal Water Company") bought the property in March 1941, in order to protect the important water catchments in the park. The company still owns the château today and has been restoring it with great care. It is open for visitors from April until October and it is also used as a prestigious venue for concerts and receptions.
The ancient fortified castle was rebuilt from 1659 to 1667 in a manner showing a remarkable affinity to the most modern ideas of European country house building of the time. It is particularly close to the buildings of François Mansart. The dignified symmetry with a triangular pediment accenting the main frontage, the geometrical articulation of the wall, the mansard roofs, and the spatial contrast between the corps de logis and the side wings have much in common with Mansart's country houses, such as the Château de Maisons-Laffitte. Modave is the most prominent preserved example of High Baroque country-house architecture in the Southern Netherlands and the Prince-Bishopric of Liège.
The château is unique for its splendidly preserved historic interiors and furniture dating from the 17th and 18th centuries. The stucco ceilings date from the second half of the 17th century and were created by Jan-Christian Hansche.
