Red-tailed Hawk-3107

Looks like a fantastic action shot with small rodents involved. Nope. Actually, this is the result of me making a U turn, stopping the car on the side of the road, and getting out of the car in the most stealthy manner I can muster. No luck....... ever. The hawk was perched on a large real estate sign, and as consistently happens, departed the scene immediately.

In a manner of speaking

I just want to say

That I could never forget the way

You told me everything

By saying nothing

In a manner of speaking

I don't understand

How love in silence becomes reprimand

But the way that I feel about you

Is beyond words

Oh, give me the words

Give me the words

That tell me nothing

Oh, give me the words

Give me the words

That tell me everything

In a manner of speaking

Semantics won't do

In this life that we live, we live, we only make do

The way that we feel

Might have to be sacrificed

So in a manner of speaking

I just want to say

That just like you I should find a way

To tell you everything

By saying nothing

Oh, give me the words

Give me the words

That tell me nothing

Oh, give me the words

Give me the words

That tell me everything

Oh, give me the words

Give me the words

I trimmed the climbing rose back over the weekend, it would be wrong not to take a photo ( or 20 right?!). Thanks for stopping

Now, the mist across the window hides the lines

But nothing hides the color of the lights that shine

Electricity so fine

Look and dry your eyes

We, so tired of all the darkness in our lives

With no more angry words to say can come alive

Get into a car and drive

To the other side

Me babe, steppin' out

Into the night, into the light

You babe, steppin' out

Into the night, into the light

We are young but getting old before our time

We'll leave the TV and the radio behind

Don't you wonder what we'll find

Steppin' out tonight

You can dress in pink and blue just like a child

And in a yellow taxi turn to me and smile

We'll be there in just a while

If you follow me

Every little move you make

It's poetry in motion now

And every little turn you take

It's causing a comotion now

If words could never convey

The message you're sending my way

But every little move you make

Oh, it's poetry in motion

Though I tried so hard

To play a waiting game

Although I tried to keep my heart

Under lock and chain

'Cause ever since you walked

Into this life of mine

Oh, this life of mine

It's never be the same

'Cause every little move you make

It's poetry in motion now

And every little turn you take

It's causing a comotion now

If words could never convey

The message you're sending my way

With every little move you make

Oh, it's poetry in motion

You're making all move

Poetry in motion

You walk in motion

Poetry in motion

You say it in time

Poetry in motion

A physical rhyme

Oh, it's pure poetry

Poetry in motion

The main prayer hall is dominated by one of the world’s largest chandeliers. The colours of the walls, columns and the carpet are harmonised in a manner that transforms the mosque into an artistic masterp

This is a recent photo that I will never be able to take again, as the Central Park Conservancy in its great wisdom has cut down this and the sole neighboring tree. Swallows used to perch here after their furiously fast flight. The Swallows and I will have to find another tree… At the Harlem Meer, Central Park, New York.

Living about five years in the wild and up to ten in captivity (like this fellow), the Red-eyed Tree Frog (Agalychnis callidryas) can leap a distance of twenty-times its length. If I were to accomplish this feat with my feet, I'd be jumping over 121 feet! While he may look venomous, he actually is not. He uses this startle coloration, instead, to make predators think twice before eating him. He uses his eye to great effect in this manner. During the day, he sleeps--often on the underside of a leaf--with his eyes closed. If a predator approaches, he will spring up on his legs, blaring his blazing eyes and richly-colored body, hopeful that this will give him just enough time to put that leaping power to use!

The Plaza de España, designed by Aníbal González, was a principal building built on the Maria Luisa Park's edge to showcase Spain's industry and technology exhibits. González combined a mix of 1920s Art Deco and Spanish Renaissance Revival, Spanish Baroque Revival and Neo-Mudéjar styles. The Plaza de España complex is a huge half-circle; the buildings are accessible by four bridges over the moat, which represent the ancient kingdoms of Spain. In the centre is the Vicente Traver fountain.

Many tiled alcoves were built around the plaza, each representing a different province of Spain. The Plaza's tiled Alcoves of the Provinces are frequent backdrops for visitors' portrait photographs, taken in their own home province. Each alcove is flanked by a pair of covered bookshelves, now used by visitors in the manner of a "Little Free Library". Each bookshelf often contains works with information about their province. Visitors have also donated favorite novels and other books for others to read.

Today the buildings of the Plaza de España have been renovated and adapted for use as offices for government agencies. The central government departments, with sensitive adaptive redesign, are located within it. Toward the end of the park, the grandest mansions from the fair have been adapted as museums. The most distant museum contains the city's archaeology collections. The main exhibits are Roman mosaics and artefacts from nearby Italica.

The Plaza de España has been used as a filming location, including scenes for Lawrence of Arabia (1962). The building was used as a location in the Star Wars movie series Star Wars: Episode II – Attack of the Clones (2002) — in which it featured in exterior shots of the City of Theed on the Planet Naboo. It also featured in the 2012 film The Dictator. The 2023 Netflix series, Kaos, also featured scenes filmed at the Plaza.

Nothing that interesting today. I suppose my shots have been fairly dull because I've been fairly dull. Maybe things will pick up by the time the weekend rolls around. But, I doubt it.
