On a sunny fall morning, M566 heads eastbound along the CSX Short Line Subdivision at CP 17 in Parma, OH with YN2 AC44 #422 leading the way. This interlocking is still governed by Conrail-era tri-light signals.
WEEK 18 – Manifest Columbia, Set V
Moving out a bit further into the parking lot, we get this wide shot of the store. Since, as I mentioned at the top of this album, the store’s architecture matches that of the shopping center, and the shopping center’s architecture in turn isn't all that much to speak of… I don’t have quite much else left to say, at this point :P So, I guess now’s as good a time as any to go ahead and share this week’s extra set of music recommendations!

NS 1832 leads manifest 14N eastbound along the NS Bayard Line, as it passes the PRR signals in East Liverpool, OH.
Des dizaines de milliers de manifestants, venus souvent avec leurs enfants, évidemment très concernés par l'avenir de notre planète.
Depuis quelques jours, on entendait une petite musique à la radio où les journalistes rapportaient les propos du pouvoir annonçant qu'il y aurait des "violences".
Et il y a bien eu des violences, mais de la part des CRS qui ont bombardé de gaz lacrymo et de grenades "de désencerclement" des manifestants pacifiques (la manif était par ailleurs bien-sûre tout à fait légale, et le thème hautement légitime). J'ai parcouru la marche dans tous les sens, je n'ai vu aucune violence de gilets jaunes (ils étaient là, mais solidaires et pacifiques), ni de "blacks blocks". Juste quelques (rares) graffitis anar (plutôt bien tournés) sur des façades. Bref, les seules violences ont été celles de la police, qui non seulement a balancé des gaz lacrymo sur des manifestants avec des enfants parfois très jeunes, mais en plus a bloqué l'arrière de la marche, en empêchant les gens de partir. J'en suis encore scandalisée. On a vraiment un gouvernement de merde.

On Friday, November 15, 2024, an eastbound BNSF 3+1+1 manifest is at Siberia, CA, on BNSF's Needles Subdivision. Power on this train is BNSF 6066, 5833, 5010 + 4053 + 6130.
BNSF 6066 is a GE ES44AC. Reportedly: it was built in 2006 serial number 57041.
CSX train Q580-20 picks up CSXT 2646 at Junta Tower with an already colorful consist of 3 different railroads in one!

Behind a pair of modern GE’s and under grey skies, CN train M347 splits the crossing just down the line from Wolf as it continues the trip north towards the crew change point at International Falls, Minnesota on the Canadian border. This train must have been fairly light compared to other trains, as around two thirds of the train was a solid block of empty centerbeams helping to fuel the informal nickname of the “sailboat” train given the amount of wind created.
NS 4420 leads manifest train 12Z northbound through the N&W CPLs at Vesuvius, as the train heads toward the top of the grade of Lofton.
WEEK 21 – Manifest Closing
This pic tilts only ever-so-slightly over to the right from the vantage point of the previous image, but somehow, that seems to make all the difference as far as the lighting in the image is concerned, haha! I think primarily it has to do with the fact that the previous pic had that picture window in the center of the frame, thus causing my camera to focus on it and therefore darken everything else around it. In this one, meanwhile, we only have the slightest glimpse of the picture window on the left, which means everything else is once again nicely illuminated :P
To be honest, I’m kinda surprised that this store didn’t post any of those giant “STORE CLOSING SALE” interior banners along this rear wall. Seems like it would’ve been a good place for one.

Mt Timpanogos is standing watch over Utah Valley as a Roper, UT to North Yard, CO manifest throttles out of Provo heading east to Soldier Summit.
At 5:20 p.m. on Friday, April 25, 2025, a southbound Union Pacific (UP) 3+2 manifest was at Woodford, CA. The power on this train was UP 8155, 5420, 5456 on front with 6305 and 3056 shoving on the rear.
UP 3056 is an EMD SD70AH-T4. Reportedly: it was built in 2017 by Bombardier in Mexico, serial number 20146140-088.
