Energy Saving Trust is a non-profit organisation jointly funded by the British Government and the private sector in order to help fight climate change by promoting the sustainable use of energy, energy conservation and to cut carbon dioxide emissions in the United Kingdom.
I've been asked to take a picture of the 7 regional managers of the Trust after their meeting in the board room on the 19th of December.
The photoshoot took place in a corner the board room. There was not much place to play with as the table and chairs was taking most of the available space. But it was OK as I only needed to take head shots.
The requirements was a portrait of each of the regional managers in front of a panel displaying the Energy Saving Trust's logo and one other with a neutral background.
Lighting info:
I was using 2 SB-600 speedlights shooting thru white brollies. One at the front camera left as the key light and one at the back camera right for the nice and soft rim light.
I could have used the back flash bare but I wanted the rim light to be soft and large. Also by the use of umbrellas, if my lights did reflect on the panel, the specular reflection would be soft instead of a small and bright spot.
I used my Nikon D300 popup flash as a master to wirelessly trigger the SB-600. Both camera and flashes were set on manual control.
Both managers were very tired after traveling across the country and go to different meetings. So I did my best to discuss and make them laugh and smile in order to get the best of them on that day.

Cluny Abbey (or Cluni, or Clugny, French pronunciation: [klyni]) is a former Benedictine monastery in Cluny, Saône-et-Loire, France. It was dedicated to St Peter. The abbey was constructed in the Romanesque architectural style, with three churches built in succession from the 4th to the early 12th centuries. The earliest basilica was the world's largest church until the St. Peter's Basilica construction began in Rome.
Cluny was founded by William I, Duke of Aquitaine in 910. He nominated Berno as the first Abbot of Cluny, subject only to Pope Sergius III. The abbey was notable for its stricter adherence to the Rule of St. Benedict, whereby Cluny became acknowledged as the leader of western monasticism. The establishment of the Benedictine Order was a keystone to the stability of European society that was achieved in the 11th century. In 1790 during the French Revolution, the abbey was sacked and mostly destroyed, with only a small part of the Abbey surviving.
Starting around 1334, the Abbots of Cluny maintained a townhouse in Paris known as the Hôtel de Cluny, which has been a public museum since 1843. Apart from the name, it no longer possesses anything originally connected with Cluny.
In 2007 the Abbey of Cluny was the first site to receive the "European Heritage" label.

The TMA is a non-profit organization designed to promote and encourage the highest standards of professional ethics and behavior in the practice of talent management. Successful sports car racing is a collaborative effort. Although the drivers are typically the stars of the show, the most accomplished drivers need a lot more than a fast car to win the race. From the pit crew to the support team, engineers and specialists, it takes a lot of effort to build and maintain a winning team. But behind all of these talented professionals, there is one person who is responsible for it all, the team managers. This Demo Day took a closer look at 3 of the most impactful team managers that have ever stepped on the grid - Luigi Chinetti, Alfred Momo, and Lofty England. Their stories might not be as glamorous as the cars they managed or the tracks on which they competed. However, each of their influences can still be felt in the racing world today. Featured cars included the 1933 Alfa Romeo 8C 2300 Le Mans, the 1952 Cunningham C4R, the 1956 Jaguar D-Type, and the 1958 Ferrari Testa Rossa.

Réaliser toutes les tâches prévues au bon moment, on en rêve mais on en souffre surtout. Une concentration de plus en plus importante de travail attend au bureau, les interminables responsabilités à la maison ou les engagements à l’Eglise, les promesses à tenir dans les différents réseaux associatifs sont autant d’impératifs à honorer absolument. Nous connaissons évidemment les todo-list, les agendas et autres post-its, mais nous pourrions encore faire tellement davantage pour être largement plus productifs au quotidien, se réaliser au travail et s’épanouir chez soi.
