Main entry of new Members Advantage Credit Union in Portage on Route 6. Thanks to Chad Ulam, Branch Manager, and staff for allowing us to come in and take photos!

Energy Saving Trust is a non-profit organisation jointly funded by the British Government and the private sector in order to help fight climate change by promoting the sustainable use of energy, energy conservation and to cut carbon dioxide emissions in the United Kingdom.

 

I've been asked to take a picture of the 7 regional managers of the Trust after their meeting in the board room on the 19th of December.

 

The photoshoot took place in a corner the board room. There was not much place to play with as the table and chairs was taking most of the available space. But it was OK as I only needed to take head shots.

 

The requirements was a portrait of each of the regional managers in front of a panel displaying the Energy Saving Trust's logo and one other with a neutral background.

 

Lighting info:

I was using 2 SB-600 speedlights shooting thru white brollies. One at the front camera left as the key light and one at the back camera right for the nice and soft rim light.

 

I could have used the back flash bare but I wanted the rim light to be soft and large. Also by the use of umbrellas, if my lights did reflect on the panel, the specular reflection would be soft instead of a small and bright spot.

 

I used my Nikon D300 popup flash as a master to wirelessly trigger the SB-600. Both camera and flashes were set on manual control.

 

Both managers were very tired after traveling across the country and go to different meetings. So I did my best to discuss and make them laugh and smile in order to get the best of them on that day.

Vee Technologies managers’ annual meet to set goals for 2017 at Coorg.

Réaliser toutes les tâches prévues au bon moment, on en rêve mais on en souffre surtout. Une concentration de plus en plus importante de travail attend au bureau, les interminables responsabilités à la maison ou les engagements à l’Eglise, les promesses à tenir dans les différents réseaux associatifs sont autant d’impératifs à honorer absolument. Pour éviter le stress récurrent que cette situation pourrait engendrer, des solutions peuvent être mises sur pied autant sur le plan professionnel, communautaire que personnel. Nous connaissons évidemment les todo-list, les agendas et autres post-its, mais nous pourrions encore faire tellement davantage pour être largement plus productifs au quotidien, se réaliser au travail et s’épanouir chez soi.

  

Objectifs

A la fin de la journée, le participant doit être capable de :

 

· Affirmer leurs priorités personnelles et professionnelles

· Apprécier leur capacité à devenir de plus en plus productif

· Trouver leur équilibre entre le travail et le rythme personnel

· Maintenir le cap sur leurs propres objectifs

· Utiliser des outils simples et modernes pour gagner du temps

Actor-manager and campaigner, Brian Rix, opens Rix House care home on Arncliffe Road, Keighley. Photograph taken by a Keighley News photographer on 10th March 1983.

 

In 2021 Keighley and District Local History Society acquired an extensive collection of photograph negatives taken by the Keighley News. Groups of negatives were held in small wallets with the date and basic labelling written on the wallet. This image is developed from one of those negatives. The image was processed on behalf of the History Society by Billy Stride in 2023.
