Chicken, Potato scallops, Avocado
G'day food lovers
I spent today in Sydney for a meeting and the recovery from the ManFlu is getting me down. I had planned to cook dinner but on the flight back I decided I would do takeaway.
I went to Jamison Plaza and got half a chook and a couple of potato scallops. And for bloody Mexicans aka Victorians, these are potato scallops. They are not potato cakes.
I thought I should have something fresh because for lunch I ate party pies which was a bit of a mistake. I had an avocado with tea tonight.
I wish this cough would improve.
Catch you later.
Just a cold really, but that didn't rhyme. Frankly, this is best viewed from a distance, but it took hours to get this far.

Dragged myself out bed at 615 am to take some photos of the lunar eclipse. It is so hard to get up and go out into the cold to take pictures especially when you are feeling crap when the manflu has taken full control. So instead i took them from the comfort of my room because it was at least -10 outside and i didn't really want to be out in that cold for over 2 hours..
I am quite pleased with the end result.

G'day food lovers
I had a huge lunch. I had leftover slow cooked brisket and prawn cabbage laksa soup.
I don't feel that hungry so I pulled out a strip of pork belly, put it in the oven for 45 minutes at 200 °C and when it was cooked cut it up and ate it with avocado.
Have a good one.
Friday tea. MEATER™ made chicken and kale.

Chicken, Kale, Tomatoes
G'day food lovers
I'm again not feeling terribly hungry today. I had a huge lunch at Garran Kitchen. Check out my Instagram feed for the photos. I got home still feeling crook so I stuck my MEATER™ wireless meat probe deep into a chicken thigh and cooked it according to the MEATER™ app. At the same time I cooked some kale. I made kale chips by putting kale leaves in the baking tray under the chicken, adding a squirt of Queensland nut oil, and seasoning with iodised salt and pepper.
I served the meal with some cherry tomatoes.
Tuesday 11 November 2008, 8.54pm - Kelvingrove underground, Glasgow. Early in the second half and I'm heading back to Queen Street for the train home. Thanks to manflu (Kilmarnock, home), simple can't-be-bothered-ness (Dundee United, away) and midweek-school-night (this evening) that's three games on the trot I've missed. Aberdeen eventually scored two in the last ten minutes to grab the points.
Monday tea. Baked salmon with kale sprouts and slaw.

G'day food lovers
It's Monday and I almost always have salmon on Monday.
Rather than pan-fry my salmon, tonight I oiled up a fillet of salmon as well as some kale sprouts and put them into a hot oven for 15 minutes.
I shredded some red cabbage, sugarloaf cabbage, carrot, and red onion to make a slaw which I dressed with olive oil and lemon juice. I also added some cherry tomatoes, avocado, and dates plus almond flakes and crushed peanuts.
After battling through Manflu, an early rise (the worst bit), fog in Glasgow, icy paths and snow on the climb up 'the Cobbler' at Arrochar this was my reward. Taken from the North Summit a 360+ pano

kitschensink: Vitamin C with Zinc. Studies has shown that zinc will make it go quicker and make the cold less harsh, for want of better word. I assume it's cold/flu
Wednesday 2 January 2008, 3.29pm during the first half of Aberdeen v Inverness - walking home from the supermarket. Laid low by manflu I didn't travel up to Aberdeen so was dawdling around Easter Road Edinburgh instead...
Today's shot is brought to you from my sick bed...
Ok, so that might be a tad over dramatic, but I am feeling pretty rubbish today and hardly slept a wink last night, so I haven't really moved from the sofa (apart from nipping into the garden quickly to get a leaf for this pretty poor photo).
I have a blanket, the fire is on, and I'm about to watch a film before I have to drag myself out to go and get H from school. Hopefully normality will resume tomorrow and I'll be back to my usual self. Until then I will carry on feeling sorry for myself.
Maybe I've caught manflu?...
