In a joyous and heartfelt event, the retirement of the esteemed Professor Omatsu was celebrated, honoring his remarkable career and unwavering service to our community. CSUN and EOP students, alumni, staff, community leaders, and administrators came together to express their deep gratitude for the invaluable inspiration and mentorship they received from Professor Omatsu throughout the years.
With a career marked by excellence and dedication, Professor Omatsu has left an indelible impact on the lives of those he touched. The event was filled with stories and tributes, highlighting the profound influence Professor Omatsu had on individuals, both personally and professionally. During 2010, The Backpack arranged to have a food tent built at Woodlands Primary School in Heideveld, where the GCU Academy operates from. The vegetables are used to make meals for the kids at school and eventually the kids will be able to take some home as well.
