Pebble Tossers volunteers served with seniors from Westminster Commons Assisted Living. We painted clay pots and filled them with a Spring flower. We shared snacks and had a great time visiting and sharing conversations.

As part of an ongoing commitment to the San Francisco community and partnership with the Golden Gate National Parks Conservancy, the Tagged team recently visited Ocean Beach for a company-wide volunteer event. Over 100 Tagged employees took up trash duty for the day in an effort to beautify and preserve the California Coast.

During 2010, The Backpack arranged to have a food tent built at Woodlands Primary School in Heideveld, where the GCU Academy operates from. The vegetables are used to make meals for the kids at school and eventually the kids will be able to take some home as well.

On behalf of our EOP community, we would like to congratulate EOP champion, Ramon Muniz on his retirement having served over 40 years of service at California State University, Northridge! Ramon tirelessly advocated for underrepresented students and his commitment to equity and access has made a significant impact on the lives of many. He has empowered countless students to achieve their dreams and his dedication has brought about positive changes within EOP and CSUN. On Tuesday, May 6th, the Educational Opportunity Programs hosted a reception to recognize the accomplishments of graduating EOP Seniors. This year, the program will be anticipating the graduation of more than 600 EOP students.
At the event students received a complimentary EOP Sash, a token of appreciation from the program to publicly acknowledge their hard work. Students also had the opportunity to reconnect with members of the EOP Community.
