On Tuesday, May 6th, the Educational Opportunity Programs hosted a reception to recognize the accomplishments of graduating EOP Seniors. This year, the program will be anticipating the graduation of more than 600 EOP students.
At the event students received a complimentary EOP Sash, a token of appreciation from the program to publicly acknowledge their hard work. Students also had the opportunity to reconnect with members of the EOP Community.

I am excited to share that I have decided to embark on a meaningful journey to make a difference in the lives of children and families in Guatemala. I will be volunteering at the child care program in Quetzaltenango, and I couldn't be more thrilled!
As a retired full-time teacher, my passion for working with children has never waned. It brings me immense joy to interact with young minds and contribute to their growth and well-being. Having had experience working with poor refugee and immigrant families as a sponsor, teacher, and social worker, I believe this volunteer opportunity aligns perfectly with my skills and aspirations.
The child care program in Quetzaltenango aims to provide a nurturing environment for children, offering them educational support, emotional care, and a safe space to thrive. By volunteering, I hope to make a positive impact on their lives, fostering their development and creating lasting memories.
I strongly believe that every child deserves a chance to flourish and reach their full potential, regardless of their circumstances. Together, we can create a brighter future for these children and contribute to building a more inclusive and compassionate society.

Team Emma Grace showed up in full force today at Grandscape in The Colony, TX, for the Breakthrough T1D Dallas Walk! We are so incredibly grateful for this amazing team of teammates and supporters who came out to walk alongside Emma Grace and help raise awareness for Type 1 Diabetes research.
