Sherman College’s President’s Assembly brought together students, faculty, and community leaders around a shared mission: creating lasting solutions to homelessness in Spartanburg County. Centered on the initiative “A Place to Call Home,” this gathering highlighted the power of collaboration, compassion, and accountability—ensuring that every day, someone is actively working toward ending homelessness in our community. Through meaningful conversation and collective commitment, Sherman continues to support efforts that make Spartanburg not just a place to live, but a place everyone can truly call home.

On Tuesday, May 6th, the Educational Opportunity Programs hosted a reception to recognize the accomplishments of graduating EOP Seniors. This year, the program will be anticipating the graduation of more than 600 EOP students.
At the event students received a complimentary EOP Sash, a token of appreciation from the program to publicly acknowledge their hard work. Students also had the opportunity to reconnect with members of the EOP Community.
