Raft failure: at 30mm/s on generic RoboSavvy filament, trying to do a 2mm wide extrude from 0.4mm nozzle, the rep2 does this. At 10mm/s its fine. This is makerbot 2014 software (which has plenty of bad design flaws...)

My makerbot as it is today. The plywood walls around it are the sides of a homemade fume hood, which removes the fumes very effectively.

A lot of cleanup of the code to do (including refactoring it so that it can accept depth data from either SimpleOpenNI or Shiffman's Kinect library), but I'm pretty happy with these results. You can check out the current draft of the code here:

Changed the design on the side panels as well to match the Replicator 2 style.
Custom Replicator case increases build height by 100mm.
Glass bottle lightly filled with scrap ABS and poured in just about an inch of acetone (up to the bottom line) and it all disolved into ABS goo.
