There is no home mail delivery in Dubai or Abu Dhabi. In fact most places don't have exact addresses because everything is shifting all the time. You'll try to find a hotel by knowing what street it's on and what it's near.

One mail carrier reckoned that her daily route involved the number of steps equating to 14 1/2 miles in rain or sleet or even snow. With the use of mail for delivering medicines and social security checks, there is a lot more at stake than junk mail, greeting cards, and bills even in 2020 when there are electronic forms of crediting and debiting one's account and exchanging social greetings.

 

The definition of "essential worker" during the pandemic is a sliding scale from public safety and life sustenance, including food and medicines to goods and services that allow a person to live in stability: heat (and air-conditioning), light, water, telephone, and (personal or public) transportation, including repair and fuel and licensing. Of course, scaled down to the household level, anyone with income allows the people to survive and so, by that definition, no matter the job title, this person is (functionally) an essential worker - maybe not in the eyes of the aggregate society, but in the eyes of those who depend on that person essential is still essential.
