Groovy tune that just might getcha up off your rump and pump out the jams: 'That Ain't Classy' - Classified.
Might I be so bold as to suggest the magnifier for this... some rather cool stuff in the details, if that's your sort of thing.
Sometimes, it's just so hard to find the PNG image you downloaded a while ago and only gave it a vague label. In this case, this is the one I used however, mine was much more varied in colour so, perhaps there is another version out there, or I edited it with more colours whilst having a couple of beers and forgot I did so: PNGWING.
Finding a photographic theme on Christmas isn't easy. So I looked closer with this old loupe magnifier that used to examine film images.
My wife stumbled upon this tramp cheekily lying in the grass and taking photographs in our garden. She tried to shoo him off but he wouldn't go. I told her to leave a sandwich and a shilling out in the road, that would probably do it.
I decided to put this one up as it shows quite well how Mr Magoo takes his photographs. This is stage 1 with my right eyeball nowhere near the evf, but instead squished on the LCD monitor - and nose bent - I'm trying to find some sort of contrast so that I can compose what I think might look okay. Stage 2 is to then carefully hold the camera in the desired position as I move my 20x magnifier (on a cord around my neck) on to the back of the screen and hold it in place with pressure from my eye/head, so I can see the focus square and hopefully, somewhere to focus! Stage 3 is to re-straighten my nose after the shot....
When all that's done I upload to the 32" monitor perched precariously on the. front edge of my desk, and then squish my nose on that as well to see if I have anything worth keeping :^)
I was doing a camera comparison test and my wife was helpin me and holding the other camera when she sneaked, unbeknown to me, this shot........if it wasn't for the tramp, , it would be pretty good.......
They were caught red handed. Finally, when they managed to escape the ropes tied to a chair, their mysterious kidnapper returned and tied them up again. This time, they surely did a better job.
Asahi crawls over the floor, pulling his brother behind him who's tied to him at his hands and feet. Heavily breathing through the cloth in his mouth, he gives off angrily noises followed by a loud shrieking: "HMM!! Fuh haa hngg! - HHHNNGG!!!"
With an innocent manner Hayden shrugs his shoulders. "Hmm hah mm."
Calmer Asahi continues: "Hmm."
Meanwhile Hayden starts giggling.
Asahi sighs and murmurs muffled through the gag in his mouth: "Hn kek hah hawk. Het's ki am pmmmh."
Translation:
"Don't pull my hands so hard!", he complains to Hayden and shrieks as he suddenly feels something groping his butt. "What the hell are you doing?"
"I'm trying to get my hands free!", Hayden replied in an innocent tone.
"That felt different for a moment."
"No shame in checking out a bro's butt." Hayden snickers while Asahi tries to dial 911 with his nose. In resentment he sighs.
"That's not going to work. Your nose is more pointy than mine!", he glances over his shoulder to his brother. "Let's switch positions."

Henlo my lovely ladies and lords! (*´▽`*)
I hope y'all have an amazing start into this new year.
I'm super glad to take this picture with my brother Hayden, who's such a big inspiration to me. Not just in artistic ways but also as a person. Thank you for taking your time to pose with me and making this picture possible! AND of course: For giving me this idea.

This is the very same video as before, but much easier to see. I rarely see an alligator feeding, so I wanted to share this, but in my first attempt I saved it as too small a file. Now you shouldn't have to use a magnifier to watch it. But if you don't like the gore, the small file is fine ;)
I normally try to fashion a title using the title, or in this case titles given to the fractals however, I like how the little green, plastic army man appeared in the bottom section, stretching back to throw his hand grenade... well, to my eye anyway.
Done for Kreative People's Treat This 284 challenge and using two of abstractartangel77's fractal images, of which can be found in the first comment box... thanks Sandy!
Pretty cool viewing with the magnifier, if so inclined.

This just a small patch of it showing the rather startling variety offered by Mother Nature without interference or intrusion by species of the human variety. What initially caught my eye in this scene was the fading ferns contrasted to the still green, waving grasses, but looking further I decided the background was not too shabby and might be included as well. This is one that should use the magnifier/zoom to really see all that it includes...including some late asters valiantly blooming on.
Spotted in my front garden while hedge trimming, guessing it is a stag beetle ? {could be wrong !} taken using the magnifier feature on my iPhone.
As often happens, I am shooting scenery or cityscapes when there's a sudden opportunity for human interaction of some kind.
He was out there by the pond, just south of the main gate, playing with his two dogs. It was almost like he'd been waiting for everyone to leave campus so he could come out here use it for a while...
I'm scrambling to adjust the settings on my camera, which means I have to get my magnifier out, since I'm blind as a bat without it, and the result is that I usually end up with settings that are less than ideal, simply because I have to take the shot right now, or lose the opportunity forever.
He said he didn't mind if I'd take a few shots, so I did. Talked about dogs for a minute or two and then he moved on.
Of course, I did notice that he looked a bit disheveled, but the possibility that he was homeless didn't really arise until I saw the images later that evening, magnified ten times on my computer screen.
Is he homeless, or simply another eccentric Ph-D dropout like me? Hyde Park may be one of the most affluent neighborhoods on the South Side, but that doesn't mean that no one is struggling within its exalted, socially conscious confines.
Of course, I should have made more of an effort to find out. It would have been my pleasure to buy him a hot meal, and something for his dogs as well, for whatever circumstances he may find himself in, those dogs are his loyal friends and companions...quite possibly all that he has in this world.
The Ciudad de las Artes y las Ciencias in Valencia on my first roll of fresh slide film in medium format. These things are beautiful - digitalizing doesn't do them justice. There is one obvious conclusion there: I need more medium format slide film! And the Perkeo's Skopar lens doesn't disappoint either. With a proper magnifier, you can actually read these signs by the stairs.

The theme for "Smile on Saturday" for the 28th of January is "optical instruments". If you follow my photostream, you may know that I collect 1:12 size miniatures, some of which have featured in past themes in the "Looking Close on Friday" and "Smile on Saturday" groups. These have included some 1:12 miniature books, which, as I get older, I do now need spectacles if I wish to read what is written on some of their tiny pages. I happened to be on holidays, photographing my 1:12 miniatures collection, the day that the theme was announced. I immediately thought I could use them for the theme. Initially, I photographed a pair of 1:12 miniature spectacles sitting atop a stack of miniature books on a miniature table, but I wasn’t particularly enamoured with the results. Then I thought of the Victorian lorgnette I have. Combining the miniatures and the lorgnette led to this result!
I should like to dedicate this photo to my Flickr friend John John from Brisbane who has always been supportive of my miniatures photography. John has a fascination with fictional detective Sherlock Holmes, and I told him that I had some 1:12 miniature editions of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s books of Sherlock Holmes in my collection, and finally, here they are in centre stage! I hope John likes this picture dedicated to him, as I hope you do, and I also hope that it makes you smile.
This Victorian lorgnette was made in Austria around the turn of the Twentieth Century. Very cleverly made, the lorgnette can easily be folded up to form a pendant monocle. The gold light caught in the glass on the left is the reflection of my pendant light overhead. With a silver and ebonised wood handle, I imagine that the Viennese owner quite enjoyed taking these with her to the city’s many theatres, not so she could watch the show on stage for which she had opera glasses, but so she could watch the fashion show of elegantly dressed ladies around her.
The Sherlock Holmes books by Arthur Conan Doyle are all 1:12 size miniature made by the British miniature artisan Ken Blythe. Most of the books I own that he has made may be opened to reveal authentic printed interiors. In some cases, you can even read the words, depending upon the size of the print! I have quite a large representation of Ken Blythe’s work in my collection. What might amaze you even more is that all Ken Blythe’s opening books are authentically replicated 1:12 scale miniatures of real volumes. To create something so authentic to the original in such detail and so clearly, really does make this a miniature artisan piece. Ken Blythe’s work is highly sought after by miniaturists around the world today and command high prices at auction for such tiny pieces, particularly now that he is no longer alive. I was fortunate enough to acquire pieces from Ken Blythe prior to his death about four years ago, as well as through his estate via his daughter and son-in-law. His legacy will live on with me and in my photography which I hope will please his daughter. I hope that they make you smile with their sheer whimsy!

**PSA: use of the magnifier will prevent squinting, which of course, does your eyes no good at all.

It's compulsory to have a DSLR camera to make HDR photos?
I think not, but of course it's better to have one of it;-) In any case I made this HDR photo using a Panasonic DMC-TZ7, a compact camera without manual settings or Raw mode...
For me the most important things are a good subject and a beautiful light. Keep in mind that HDR itself does not make a good photo, HDR doesn’t make up for bad composition or bad framing, HDR can’t make an ordinary scene look extraordinary.
This small chapel is situated in the middle of the forest near the city of Aix-Les-Bains. This place look like a fairy tale. And believe me, there is a kind of magic over there, particulary in winter!
This photo is in my 2013 calendar ;-)

Spotting a strange bluish-green patch of grass on my lawn I examined it with my magnifier loupes and was amazed at what I saw. Each blade of grass was adorned with slime mould fruiting bodies, each bearing the most intricate network of white striae. They were crying out to be photographed, so out came my ultra macro flash setup and I got to work. This image is a stack of seven individual hand held images. I guess the spores will explode and shed their spores any day now so I'm glad I found them when I did.
I have no idea what species they are. Can anyone help?
I was chopping up some mandarin peel and peeling garlic in my chopping board in my kitchen when the golden winter sun shone through the windows.
I wonder what it will look like in the macro world at this serendipitous moment. So I just picked up my clip on magnifier lens and captured this image.
Spontaneity is my trait.
Translucent garlic peel behind finely chopped mandarin peels, lit by natural receding golden winter sun. The Mandarin peel enhance the golden hues.

You're the best....around! Required listening for this song is Joe Esposito's You're the Best from the Karate Kid. This was taken using a Mint Camera SLR670 and Retrograde ENG 37mm filter system. To Beck, Juice, Keeb and KKP, I know you have been waiting but thank you for even making this group possible and I just don't know what would happen to this without you.
Sadly, the build was so gigantic, that the code would error once I try to export it, so this is a once-in-a-lifetime viewing.

Dati Tecnici
a) Leica M8 + Carl Zeiss Biogon ZM 25 mm f.2,8T* (+ Filtro Leica UV/IR);
b) Tempo Finale 1/30s apertura a f.3,2 (a mano libera);
c) Utilizzato il Magnifier 1,25x per effettuare una messa a fuoco più precisa;
d) Lettura Esposimetrica impostata in M (manuale) esterna effettuata con Sekonic DualSpot F-L-778 Angolo 1° (effettuate 4 misurazioni con metodo del Sistema Zonale di “Ansel Adams”) a luce riflessa e 1 lettura di equiparazione e bilanciamento con Esposimetro esterno Gossen Lunalite lettura a luce riflessa (con calotta inserita);
.
e) Esposizioni:
1)......la prima sulla superficie della tenda posta subito dopo il vetro dell’infisso (in particolare quella parte ricamata più chiara in corrispondenza del bordo superiore della sedia) ;
2)......la seconda (doppia) sia sulla guancia destra della ragazza e per equiparazione sulla guancia destra della bambola (il valore era molto simile la variazione era di 1/3 di stop) questa la ho posta sulla Zona V del grigio medio al 18% aumentato di 1/2 del valore;
3)......la terza sul tessuto della spalla desta della ragazza in primo piano. Questa parte di superfice era molto importante per la trama ricca di particolari e di zone chiare e scure;
4)......la quarta sui capelli della ragazza, in particolare il riflesso, ovvero la porzione illuminata della luce proveniente dal balcone che si trova a destra. (In questa porzione, dopo alcune letture di verifica, ho dato un valore n+2,5 rispetto al valore letto in quanto la luminanza della luce era filtrata da una tenda di colore Panna con striature marroni pertanto la luce oltre alla filtratura veniva assorbita e diffusa, il cielo non era particolarmente limpido ma parzialmente nuvoloso e pertanto avevamo una temperatura cromatica di quasi 6000°K);
5)......La media ottenuta dalle letture precedenti è stata confrontata con il valore t/d (tempo/diaframma) ottenuto dalla settima lettura effettuata con misurazione a luce riflessa sulla calotta superiore dell’esposimetro Gossen Lunalite posto parallelamente alla figura e con la calotta rivolta perpendicolarmente verso l’ottica di ripresa (l’esposimetro è stato posto fra il braccio sinistro della ragazza e la guancia della bambola);
f) Impostazione nel corpo camera Leica M8: ISO/ASA 160, DR (auto), WB (Bilanciamento del Bianco (auto), Saturazione Colore (Stadard), Nitidezza (Medio-Alto), Contrasto (Standard) Riduzione disturbo (0), Qualità Immagine (DNG), Dimensione Immagine compresso (3:2 – 10MB);
g) Tecnica di ripresa esposimetrica con il sistema dell”Esposizione a Destra;
h) Prima Post-Produzione per la correzione del bilanciamento cromatico/tonale delle varie aree e zone di colore per compensare la caduta di luce con Nikon Capture NX 2;
i) Seconda Post-Produzione con Adobe Photoshop CC2015 per il bilanciamento delle zone d’ombra;

avvolto… nasconde
una piccola anima
dolorante,
….si sentono, sparsi
nel profondo vuoto,
eterni lamenti
che implorano….
aiuto struggenti
… in frammenti.
Non è un bel giorno
come tant’altri,
c’è il mostro che
mi cerca,..…”vuole”…
a dir di lui giocare,
nervosamente attende.
Della mamma…
premuroso compagno
….agli occhi della gente.
La mia bambola,
è lei che m’aiuta,
muta compagnia di
orrende disavventure,
a volte di pochi momenti,
ma spesso
di molte ore.
Grida...occultate da
quella mano invadente
bagnata dal pianto,
lacrime d'odio e dolore
irrompono le mie tenebre,
imploro a Lui negazione
di quei terribili giochi,
osceni momenti,
ma al ricordo
di pacate e sue dolci parole
seguivano gravi voci,
minacce e
suadenti menzogne.
Convulsi spasmi di pianto
e dolore conducono
implacabili l'anima a
vani pensieri.
E’ Il gridare d'una sola notte?
no!….è un lamento costante
…..perenne.
False dolci parole..
…di conforto
rantolano morenti
tra crudele realtà, vivono
sofferenti e contorti
tormenti, dell'anima
mia affranta
deluse speranze,
illuse e tradite.
Senti il cuore impigliato e
squarciato da acuminati rovi
di false promesse...
Così…ho trovato la mia strada
apro d’un tratto
quell’uscio senza freni
vado via nell’immenso vuoto
chiudo gli occhi e nell’abbraccio
futuro della mamma mia
volo libera nell’aria
per andar a giocar con gli angeli.

of dark shadows,
a pale little face,
weep silent
wrapped hides ...
a little soul
sore,
.... feel, scattered
in the deep void,
eternal lamentations
begging ....
help poignant
... Into fragments.
Not a good day
like so many others,
there is the monster that
I look, ... "he wants" ...
to tell him to play
nervously awaits.
Mother's ...
caring companion
.... in the eyes of the people.
My doll,
it is she who helps me,
company wetsuit
hideous misadventures,
in times of a few moments,
but often
of many hours.
Cries hidden by
that hand intrusive
wet with tears,
hate and pain tears
break my darkness,
implore Him denial
of those terrible games
obscene moments,
but to remember
of calm and his sweet words
they followed serious voices,
threats and
persuasive lies.
Convulsive spasms of crying
and pain, lead
implacable, the soul
vain thoughts.
And 'the shout of a single night?
No! ... it is a constant lament
…..perennial.
False sweet words ..
... comfort
rantolano dying
between cruel reality, live
sick and twisted
torments of the soul
my heartbroken
dashed hopes,
deceived and betrayed.
Feel the entangled heart and
torn by sharp thorns
of false promises ...
So ... I found my way
I open at once
that door without brakes
I go away empty immense
I close my eyes and embrace
future of my mom
free air flight
to go and play lo with the angels.

Had a few big projects to complete. Finally got a chance for a good long sleep last night.

were all allowed the sleep we need. :)
