Mundgeblasenes farbiges Bleikristallglas (Durchmesser 2,5 cm). Ich benutze es meist für Eierlikör, da gefällt mir der Farbkontrast am besten.
Zweifarbiges Glas ist mundgeblasen sehr aufwendig herzustellen. Mir gefallen eigentlich nicht so sehr die Gläser als vielmehr die hohe Kunst des Glasblasens.

Hammām is a turkish or oriental bath. It's not just about cleansing the body – a visit is a true celebration of body and soul. Here, everyday life is simply washed away in pleasant warmth under dim light, lots of soap foam and water – true luxury. The Hammām is a further development of the Greco-Roman baths that the Byzantines used, later the Arabs took over.
The soap foam here in my picture is in a small bottle, which is perhaps more suitable for a fragrance essence than for a full bath, at least for our proportions, the front section measures 1.2 inches ;-) The two bottles in blue and red come from a wonderful trip from Egypt ...

Als Hammām wird ein türkisches oder orientalisches Bad bezeichnet. Es geht nicht nur um die Reinigung des Körpers – ein Besuch ist ein wahres Fest für Körper und Seele. Hier wird der Alltag in angenehmer Wärme unter gedämpftem Licht, viel Seifenschaum und Wasser einfach weggespült - wahrer Luxus. Der Hammām ist eine Weiterentwicklung des griechisch-römischen Bades, das die Byzantiner benutzt haben, später haben es die Araber übernommen.
Der Seifenschaum hier in meinem Bild befindet sich in einer kleinen Flasche, die vielleicht doch eher für eine Duftessenz als für ein Vollbad geeignet ist, jedenfalls für unsere Größenverhältnisse, der Ausschnitt vorn misst 3 cm ;-) Die beiden Flaschen in Blau und Rot stammen von einer wunderschönen Reise aus Ägypten ...

I love the movie of Piggy Babe and kept the little piggy of my kids.
The Story: The Border Collie bitch Fly looks after the lonely piglet Babe, who won a shepherd farmer at the fair. At some point, Babe realizes that it has no purpose on the farm and is finally a roast pork. So Pig decides to make Babe useful as a shepherd.
I have already cropped this shot .
Even if there are many toothbrushes today, here is my specimen. This special toothbrush has a handle made of bamboo wood. That's ecological. Unfortunately, it does not brush as well as the conventional ones. So I stay with the normal version ...

Wenn uns alles genommen wird, dann wissen wir auch das einfache zu schätzen. Ein Spaziergang, eine Tasse Kaffee mit einer lieben Freundin, eine kleine Aufmerksamkeit, dies kann alles große Freude machen. Am Nikolaustag wollen wir uns eine Freude machen und schon der Anblick kleiner Geschenke kann schöne Gefühle auslösen. HMM!

Today I am more than usual descriptive, and it all thanks to Peter :) Pixelated Sky and his habit of interesting educational descriptions under his photos.
The chestnut fruit contains, among others. flavonoids, tannins, coumarins and carotenoids. However, their most valuable ingredient is escina, a mixture of saponins. These are compounds that seal the walls of blood vessels and restore their flexibility.
Chestnut extracts, used in the form of poultice, will accelerate the healing of post-traumatic changes: swelling, bruises, dislocations and crushes, mild burns and frostbite, they have anti-inflammatory and mild astringent effects.
In cosmetics chestnut fruits have been used for the production of masks, creams, tonics for the sensitive skin. In the kitchen of the chestnut fruit is prepared medicinal wines and tinctures.

Or rather: Pumpernickel-Man ;-) And he's very hungry. This is my outtake for MMs "Bread" theme. It exceeds the 7,6 cm / 3 inches rule by 4 mm / 0,15748 inches. The Pumpernickel I've used here is pre-sliced (it usually is), the slices are round, and the spread is butter and bell pepper chili jam. I used a bottle pour spout to punch out the eye.
I promised some info about the Pumpernickel bread, a speciality from Westphalia, also dubbed "black bread" because of its colour. The traditional ingredients are coarsly ground rye and rye berries. The rye berries are being soaked in lukewarm water over night (or in hot water for a few hours) to make them bakable. As for the baking process, here's a quote from Wikipedia: "Traditional German Pumpernickel contains no coloring agents, instead relying on the Maillard reaction to produce its characteristic deep brown color, sweet, dark chocolate, coffee flavor, and earthy aroma. To achieve this, loaves are baked in long narrow lidded pans 16 to 24 hours in a low-temperature (about 120 °C or 250 °F), steam-filled oven. Like the French pain de mie, Westphalian Pumpernickel has little or no crust. It is very similar to rye wholemeal bread, a dense rye bread with large amounts of whole grains added. While true Pumpernickel is produced primarily in Germany, versions are popular in the Netherlands, under the name roggebrood, where it has been a common part of the diet for centuries, and in Denmark, where rugbrød is a staple."

My grandma gave me a sewing basket full of supplies. Of all the supplies, the one that fascinated me most, was the copy wheel. What in the world could I do with this thing?
Soon I found out that I could use the scroll wheel to transfer patterns to fabric. To this day I am still fascinated by this practical thing.

Ich habe so viel schöne verrostete Dinge gefunden ... ich konnte mich sehr schwer entscheiden. Nun, dies ist ein Detail eines verrosteten Raspel-/Hobel-Blatts. Ich konnte auch nicht der Versuchung widerstehen, Barbie wieder einzusetzen ;-)

Boskoop sind meist große Äpfel, die häufig über 200 g wiegen. Dieser hier ist nur ein kleiner. Das erste mal gesehen wurden sie in dem niederländischen Ort Boskoop, daher der Name.. Sie reifen Ende September bis Mitte Oktober. Das gute ist, sie sind und sind bis März haltbar.
Ob es unbedingt die aus dem real Kauf sein sollten...?

Auf den ersten Blick scheint eine Beziehung zwischen dem Feuerzeichen Schütze und dem Wasserzeichen Fische unmöglich von Dauer zu sein. Doch die beiden haben trotz aller Unterschiede auch einiges an Gemeinsamkeiten. Sie haben eine ähnliche Zielsetzung im Leben und auch ihre Prioritäten und Interessen sind relativ übereinstimmend. Die Anziehungskraft zwischen den Sternzeichen Schütze und Fisch ist sehr stark. Für den Fisch ist ein dominanter Schütze als Partner der Ausweg aus seiner starken Introvertiertheit. This little glass lid is actually not a bottle cap, but a lid for a Calvados glass.
But in this composition he cuts a fine figure.
Today is not only Wednesday, but Hump Day, too (which I've learned from Aurelia: 1crzqbn). Hump Day refers to the middle of the work week. But for this tree? It's Hmpf! Day. Every single day ;-)
Taken on Good Friday at the garden of the Charlottenburg Palace - a week before spring arrived and nature "exploded".

Nicht immer ist es so einfach die Balance zu finden, wie hier mit der Gabel und der kleinen Kugel. Zum Beispiel zwischen dem, was man möchte und dem was man muss, oder zwischen Zeit und Geld. Aber eine erfolgreiche Balance ist für alles und jeden so wichtig.
