#MacroMondays #stick
this one is probably the best macro one, but i like the "old stick in the mud" the best, even if it isn't very appealing ~grin~ wonder if someone else did that?? am betting there are a lot of snowmen with stick arms.

I see a toy with a smiling face with a Santa Fe decal stuck to its teeth just as I saw my electric trains when my mother gave them to me, but it's actually now a working Lionel Santa Fe Double Diesel Train Set 027 from 1956 and a collector's item.
Shot for the Macro Mondays group.
This weeks theme is: Reel
This reel of film is from my Father-in-laws Father. He was a prolific photographer also and took many photos on the Praktica that I now own. I have boxes and boxes of slide film that need to be scanned.

I had three different photos for this challenge. One was speckled chicken feathers and one was speckled rust. In the end I went with sparkly speckles because it's a dull gray day and who couldn't use a little sparkle on a day like that? :)
«L'amore è per definizione un dono non meritato; anzi, l'essere amati senza merito è la prova del vero amore [...] Quanto è più bello sentirsi dire: sono pazza di te sebbene tu non sia né intelligente né onesto, sebbene tu sia bugiardo, egoista e mascalzone!».
Milan Kundera, “La lentezza”
the macromondays' theme for today, 12/17, is #safety devices--
this is a sewing ripper with its cover
there are 8 possibilities today-- i think my favorites are the simplicity of faux tea light and the sparkle of golden hasp clasp. think i'll have a bit of coffee while i cogitate. the macromonday album of postings and possibilities is here:
For Macro Monday - Party
Macro Mondays turns 17 this week.
With very little time a couple of popped party poppers on a happy birthday candle.
Width of the candle is 68 mm
Happy Macro Monday!
A frozen cube of ginger.......ginger (I am told) can reduce inflammation, improve blood circulation, alleviate nausea, assist digestion and other things. I don't necessarily drink ginger tea for those reasons -I just like a ginger and honey drink. The way I make it is to peel the ginger and whiz it in a blender with water so that it it's 'grated'. Strain it and fill 1 in square ice cube trays with the grated ginger. Freeze the trays and once frozen bag them up. Then, when I want a drink it 's easy to take a cube from the freezer - drop it in the cup infuser and pour over boiling water. The tumbler here is 7cm (2 3/4 ins) in diameter.
The Hamsa Hand is an ancient Middle Eastern amulet symbolizing the Hand of God. In all faiths it is a protective sign. It brings its owner happiness, luck, health, and good fortune. The hamsa hand has a wide variety of different spellings which includes hamesh, hamsa, chamsa, and khamsa.
I include a second photo with a indicating scale.
