Looks like the leaf is rapidly falling to the seasons !. HMM !

A frozen cube of ginger.......ginger (I am told) can reduce inflammation, improve blood circulation, alleviate nausea, assist digestion and other things. I don't necessarily drink ginger tea for those reasons -I just like a ginger and honey drink. The way I make it is to peel the ginger and whiz it in a blender with water so that it it's 'grated'. Strain it and fill 1 in square ice cube trays with the grated ginger. Freeze the trays and once frozen bag them up. Then, when I want a drink it 's easy to take a cube from the freezer - drop it in the cup infuser and pour over boiling water. The tumbler here is 7cm (2 3/4 ins) in diameter.

When I were a lad, back in the 1700's just after they invented the wheel, growing up in a big city I could only imagine what it would be like to grow up on a farm. This was one of my favourite childhood toys, a Claas Combine Harvester - Matchbox series 65 made in England by Lesney.

(not quite 3/4" horizontally)

Shooting this brought me back to my childhood days when the neighborhood kids would gather around after school and make up our own games of marbles.

Happy MM everyone!

I wish a swift recovery for you Hans!

here is one of the many shots I have taken of a homemade perfume bottle after shaken. I couldn't achieve what I have in mind exactly but wanted to share this frame with you anyway. I will include some of my trials in to the comments section.

Essence was traditionally made by one of my beloved friends some time ago and turned in to orange/amber color due to oxidation.

I have used my 60mm lens with a 25mm extension tube for this shot. Thickness of the glass you see at the bottom is about 5mm.

The secret to a healthy life is balance. Some days require asparagus, and others deserve a lollipop :)

For this photo at 2 x magnification with mp-e 65 mm (and kenko extension tubes, I didn't remove them) I used f/8, the best combination of sharpness and depth of field in my opinion.

Usually I go for a lower f number to obtain more detail and less depth and than use zerene stacking.

... hanging on our tree. For Macro Mondays theme this week, holiday bokeh, found this very tricky especially with the lights flashing!

Nice to know that blueberries lie in a glass, the glass name in Italy ( country where I live) is Bicchiere, so the mix of two languages could be.. blueberries in the “ bicchiere” 😄
