Announcing the source of the very pleasing accompaniment to my main meal of the day in the form of a generous glass or two.
For Macro Mondays 11th February.
This is a glass necklace pendant on a CD (my new favourite background) sprayed with a bit of water : )
Shot for the Macro Mondays group.
This weeks theme is: Reel
This reel of film is from my Father-in-laws Father. He was a prolific photographer also and took many photos on the Praktica that I now own. I have boxes and boxes of slide film that need to be scanned.

This is a replacement cutter for a grinding wheel dresser. It was backlit while sitting atop of a chainsaw scabbard.
Grinding dressers are used to return a grinding wheel to its original round shape (to true it up), to expose fresh grains for renewed cutting action (including cleaning away clogged areas), or to make a different profile (cross-sectional shape) on the wheel's edge.

MacroMonday : Oil On Water
I had never tried this before but it was really fun.
And I learned some things, like not all oils are the same,
probably should have had more light below and less on the oil,
and last but not least, this should probably be done alone
because when your knees get tried from crouching over
the set up and you pull up the recycling bin to sit on,
well, you look pretty foolish when you fall into it.
So it goes. HMM everyone! ;-)
the macromonday theme for today, 12/11, is stick.
#MacroMondays #stick
this one is probably the best macro one, but i like the "old stick in the mud" the best, even if it isn't very appealing ~grin~ wonder if someone else did that?? am betting there are a lot of snowmen with stick arms.
I had a whole bunch of these nuts (with matching bolts) hanging around. Finally got to make some use of them!
I was cleaning one of the dressers the other day and found this old wallet full of old and expired cards. I thought I'd use them for this Monday's Theme before they get shredded and thrown away.

I had three different photos for this challenge. One was speckled chicken feathers and one was speckled rust. In the end I went with sparkly speckles because it's a dull gray day and who couldn't use a little sparkle on a day like that? :)
«L'amore è per definizione un dono non meritato; anzi, l'essere amati senza merito è la prova del vero amore [...] Quanto è più bello sentirsi dire: sono pazza di te sebbene tu non sia né intelligente né onesto, sebbene tu sia bugiardo, egoista e mascalzone!».

the macromondays' theme for today, 12/17, is #safety devices--
this is a sewing ripper with its cover
there are 8 possibilities today-- i think my favorites are the simplicity of faux tea light and the sparkle of golden hasp clasp. think i'll have a bit of coffee while i cogitate. the macromonday album of postings and possibilities is here:
