I love donuts, but don't eat them much because...you know. But I decided to sacrifice for MM. My personal favorites are glazed crullers, but these were more photogenic.

I have a picture of a grand aunt giving the rod and reel to her husband as a gift!

An interesting challenge this one, what to take and how to get as close as possible without damaging my camera! I settled on a wax tealight candle with a brushed aluminium background that gives a flame effect behind the candle flame itself.
Measurements: 1 1/2 inches wide x 2 inches high.

the macromondays theme for today, 11/30, is in the bathroom. this little jar is in my bath and contains a small amount of cotton balls. of course this would be my choice :)

Patch awarded to a member of the British RAF in WWII. A Navigator was responsible for keeping the aircraft on course at all times. It required long periods of intense concentration for virtually the whole flight, which could be many hours.
A fake Ladybird beetle sitting on a real leaf. There are two ways to tell this Ladybird is fake. 1. It looks nothing like a real Ladybird and 2. As hard as I've tried I've not been able to make a normal Ladybird stay on a fridge door holding vital shopping lists simply because they don't contain magnets :-)

The water is in a beaker with stirring disk. The vortex causes the patterns of bubbles. The distance between 600 and 1000 ml is about 1 in. Shot with Tamron macro at 1:1.
The seam of the ball is the circular stitching which joins the two halves of the cricket ball. ... If the ball is bowled in such a way that the seam hits the pitch when it bounces, this irregularity can cause the ball to deviate sideways in its path. It may move in any direction, or just go straight.

HMM... the macromonday theme for today, 4/8, is circle. of the 150+ shots i did of various circles, this is one of the brass button ones, but i liked the napkin ring one the best. so no dithering today :)

La vida es un conjunto de "probetas" en las que vertemos circunstancias y elementos, que mezclados entre sí, producen alteraciones en la conducta, en los sentimientos y en la salud.
El resultado de todo eso, es el "alma" de cada uno.
En esta toma, se me ha ocurrido, pegar entre sí, varias probetas de cristal para laboratorio químico, que miden poco más de un cm. El ancho de la foto es 7,3cm por 4,4 cm de ancho.
Life is a set of "test tubes" into which we pour circumstances and elements that, mixed together, produce alterations in behavior, feelings and health.
The result of all this is the "soul" of each one.
In this shot, it occurred to me to glue together several glass test tubes for a chemical laboratory, measuring just over one cm. The width of the photo is 7.3cm by 4.4cm wide.
