The OM goes down to electric avenue! The OM-2n is the updated version of the original OM-2 that took the chassis of the OM-1 and updated it with semi-automatic exposure and electronics and an innovating metering system that made the metering reading right off the film plane in automatic mode. Plus the lenses are no slouch either! Combine all that in a compact fun to use package, and you have a winner.

If there's one thing that is plenty at Fort Erie and any reenactment it's the faces of the men and women who put on the wool and take to the field. I made a point to focus on these for my final roll shot before I to put on the King's uniform and marched off to battle.

When Rollei makes a compact 35mm camera they do it right, proven in the Rollei 35 lineup. Now, mine is a later Singapore model, but it still shines. However, that doesn't mean the camera is without its faults, it's incredibly frustrating to load, rewind, and the scale focus doesn't help. But when it does work, it's magic.

Okay, so here's where I met with a surprise. I did not expect these images to turn out this good! Not only do we have fine grain, but sharpness, not to mention a rich contrast and tonal range. These look more like Reversal rather than Negative.

Nikon rocks down to electric avenue with their first dive into a semi-automatic electronic SLR with the Nikkormat EL. First released in 1972 as a direct response to the rise of semi-automatic SLRs being released elsewhere. The camera would eventually evolve into the Nikon FE later in the decade. A solid well built and familiar SLR that begs to be used.

For an upcoming episode John provided the gang with some fourth-party M42 lenses to test out to see how well they actually worked. I'm rather impressed at how well the lens I ended up with, the Sun Auto 85-210mm f/4.8 turned out. I'm sure it would do better in a camera that could actually stop it down and I ended up shooting this wide open the whole time because Zenit E. Over all there's little to no fall off on the corners, a bit of flare if I wasn't careful. But lovely sharp lens.

Honestly, I didn't have much hope for this film, with limited information online and not seeing any examples, I was expecting a grain fest, don't ask me why it's what my gut said. However, I was instead treated with a rich film with amazing tonality decent grain sharpness. An excellent first showing.

While you can only see the Orthochromatic nature of the film in some images, over all I didn't really like Ortho 25 with Rodinal, sure you get fine grain and razor sharp, but there's no drama to the film.

I've never had any issue with RPX 100 in any developer, but to be honest I think the stock sings in D-76, the contrast is rich, the tones are perfect, and the grain is fine. Not bad for a baseline.

I was digging through my film collection and came across this roll of Rollei Pan 25 that expired back in 2016. With a bit of digging I realised that it was respooled Efke 25. Now I had shot this film way back but only posted a handful of rolls. So with my surprised I got some amazing images out of this last roll.

with developing film myself. My first roll of BW medium format film (120 Ilford FP4 plus ISO 125) in the fresh acquired Bessa III. The patient first subject was by beloved Great Dane Ayk.

So the subject and composition are typical for a first shoots with new camera, I guess. Will have to go along the learning curve for some time.

Toronto Metropolitan University (TMU, or Toronto Met), formerly Ryerson University was founded in 1948 and took the name Ryerson from Egerton Ryerson, a prominent contributor to the design of the public school system and teachers' college in Canada West. In 2022, it was renamed Toronto Metropolitan University, in response to concerns about Egerton Ryerson's influence on the Canadian Indian residential school system.

By far not my favourite combo, but there could be a few factors in on this one, there wasn't too much open sunlight and the grain is terrible even with it being IR film and being shot at ASA-12.
