Having a bit of fun with some Rollei Infrared Film that I have laying around. I made a bit of mistake with these, and either under-exposed or over-exposed the frames but of a roll of fifteen pulling out ten workable images isn't too bad!

Some interesting clouds over Velebit mountain range in Croatia, taken from Island Pag. There were more interesting scenes, but I came late :(
Like all my Rollei Retro 80s taken with infrared Hoya R72 filter, and like all my Retro 80s, it is having millions of black dots (this one is not having, I had boring 30mins of digitally removing them), really annoying, and even though I like this film a lot for IR, I'll not buy it anymore. Even asking any support from macodirect will probably result in reply, few years from now :(
My second roll that I've processed with Rollei B&W Reversal Kit, I had some issues with temperature on 1st Dev, but in the end it was pretty much fine. I've also added more dev for scanning 5%, as in docs.

Clearing Bath: 3 mins, agitation 1 invert each 30 sec.
Second exposure: around 3:05 mins with 125W bulb approximately 30 cm above roll of film that was in transparent bowl filled with water.
2nd Dev: 12:18 mins agitation 10x start (cca. 30sec), 1 invert each 30 sec.

Some digital adjustments: dodge and burning, and million black dots removed (as always on Rollei Retro 80s taken IR).
A quick walk through Downtown Oakville to film the video review for the Miranda Sensorex. While the weather had been nasty the previous two days it dried up briefly so that I got the chance to head out. I should have delayed a day as the first of April ended up being far nicer.

When it comes to fine grain films, there's really nothing you can do to bring the grain up, and while D-76 may not give the same razor sharp as one would think, it's still a fine developer for Ortho 25.

The OM goes down to electric avenue! The OM-2n is the updated version of the original OM-2 that took the chassis of the OM-1 and updated it with semi-automatic exposure and electronics and an innovating metering system that made the metering reading right off the film plane in automatic mode. Plus the lenses are no slouch either! Combine all that in a compact fun to use package, and you have a winner.

I was digging through my film collection and came across this roll of Rollei Pan 25 that expired back in 2016. With a bit of digging I realised that it was respooled Efke 25. Now I had shot this film way back but only posted a handful of rolls. So with my surprised I got some amazing images out of this last roll.

Nikon rocks down to electric avenue with their first dive into a semi-automatic electronic SLR with the Nikkormat EL. First released in 1972 as a direct response to the rise of semi-automatic SLRs being released elsewhere. The camera would eventually evolve into the Nikon FE later in the decade. A solid well built and familiar SLR that begs to be used.

The John Sproat house was built by John Sproat in 1857 as a Ladies Seminary Educational Residence. Largely Georgian in style, with Italianate features. The symmetrically arranged, five bay facade and chimneys located at the gable ends is typical of the Georgian style of architecture. The exterior walls are constructed of local stone with ashlar masonry on the facade and east elevation, and coursed rubble stonework on the west and north elevations.

Das war das Kino meiner Kindheit und Jugend – aber schon seit den 60ern nicht mehr in Betrieb, sondern zunächst als Lagerhalle für eine Fabrik in der Nachbarschaft genützt.
Was jetzt drin los ist, keine Ahnung ...
At least that's what I hoped, I ended up waiting another half hour for the next ferry.

I've never had any issue with RPX 100 in any developer, but to be honest I think the stock sings in D-76, the contrast is rich, the tones are perfect, and the grain is fine. Not bad for a baseline.

For an upcoming episode John provided the gang with some fourth-party M42 lenses to test out to see how well they actually worked. I'm rather impressed at how well the lens I ended up with, the Sun Auto 85-210mm f/4.8 turned out. I'm sure it would do better in a camera that could actually stop it down and I ended up shooting this wide open the whole time because Zenit E. Over all there's little to no fall off on the corners, a bit of flare if I wasn't careful. But lovely sharp lens.

And we have another winning combination here and it probably has a lot to do with the compensating nature of TMax developer. Not to mention, you see a drop in noticeable grain while maintaining a level of sharpness and some awesome tonality!

Honestly, I didn't have much hope for this film, with limited information online and not seeing any examples, I was expecting a grain fest, don't ask me why it's what my gut said. However, I was instead treated with a rich film with amazing tonality decent grain sharpness. An excellent first showing.
