With the M862 becoming the core squad support weapon in the Core Federation armed forces, Olympia Defense Technology made a move to equip their new 'Raven' General Purpose VTOL gunships with the LMG on the side door gunnery posistions. Another feature allowed the gun to removed from it's posistion and then reposistioned on a tripod for a stationary defense, useful for the foward firebases used by the Federation.
If a neighborhood establishes itself as an art community shouldn't it's entire space, with all of the contents, be art? Including the ATM's??
Here's one of several "enhanced" ATM's located in the Alberta Arts District of Portland, Oregon.
This old abandoned '62 Chevy Impala in the ghost town of Rhyolite, Nevada reminded me of the old Chevy in the Cheech and Chong movie "Up In Smoke." And, with the graffiti on the car that I think says "Love Me", I couldn't resist titling this image "Love Machine."
As all of you have been loving the Arcade machines, here is a shot of all those I've made so far.
This has been a long running project. And it's important to say that while these are all my creations, there was a lot of inspiration from many other talented builders. There's really only so many ways you can build these at minifig scale. For instance; I didn't come up with the idea of the upside down slope for the skeeball machine, that was inspired by a talented build on LEGO Ideas (in review atm) And I wouldn't be surprised in the slightest if there's an identical claw machine out there (how many ways can you do a box, windows and claw at top?) We but stand on the backs of giants.
Next step for this project is a pinball machine, and then a range of stickers for the cabinets (yes, those are my illustrations, and making them work at this scale is one of the challenges) And then a larger building to bring them together. Not sure what that last will look like, but not Flynn's. Something else, and suggestions are welcome.
Obi-Wan: He's more machine now than man; twisted and evil.
Well ... slightly twisted anyway.
Strobist: Two umbrellas behind me (I'm the subject today) left and right, pointed straight down. Thaz it. Both strobes triggered wirelessly.
My custom Ultimate Machine (also known as a useless machine) built using the new Mindstorms EV3. You really have to watch the video to see what it does, otherwise it's just a pretty black box with a switch on it.
Building instructions and the Mindstorms project file can be found on my website: www.truedimensions.com/instructions
The LuuMa EV3 is a bit more elaborate than the typical ultimate machine, featuring 6 different responses for turning the switch off and 2 evasive maneuvers for trying to prevent the switch from being turned on in the first place.
I had a blast building this one, and programming the different responses. Not to mention playing with it once it was complete. I can't wait to put it out at a show and watch people interact with it.
I've been pretty impressed with the EV3, although I have encountered the odd glitch or two with both the hardware and software. Hopefully these get ironed out in future updates.

I wanted to see a new waterfall today and it has got to where I have to drive over a 100 miles to do that as of lately. So I decided to check out Machine Falls in Tennesee because I have had several people tell me how awesome it was. They were not kidding especially with the icicles there. However if visiting you will probably have to wade across the creek to get to the easier access. And folks wonder why I hike in shorts and flip flops.....
D18033. With the prospect of a war against Nazi Germany becoming more and more likely during the late 1930s, it was decided that a place of safety needed to be found where the Government and military leaders could carry out their vital tasks in the event of an aerial bombardment.
Storage rooms in a London basement under some Government buildings were therefore hastily converted into office and living accommodation where the Prime Minister and his staff could work in safety. These became known as the Cabinet War Rooms and they are now open to the public as a permanent museum and memorial to wartime leader Winston Churchill.
Amongst the many artefacts on display is this German four rotor Enigma cipher machine.

The Bashnag Machine Rifle is a heavily modified Bashnag Auto. It is modified to feed via belt through the top of the slide. Spent shells are ejected through the magazine well and spent belt links are ejected out of the side of the rifle. It was designed to provide a light support weapon. It has a rate of fire of 645 rpm.
Across the gulf of space, minds that are to our minds as ours are to those of the beasts that perish, intellects vast and cool and unsympathetic, regarded this earth with envious eyes, and slowly and surely drew their plans against us.
A rope making machine at the Scottish Maritime Museum, Irvine.
I shot this to capture the intricate details and textures of this machine. I wanted to illustrate the massive bulk of this old tool.
This is not my usual sort of thing to photograph but last September I had trekked to the head of Loch Tarsan to photograph an old croft (the ruins can be seen in the background) and found this old, rusted piece of equipment. I'm assuming that it is an old agriculture machine but I suppose that it could have been left over from the dam construction (Loch Tarsan is formed by a hydro-dam) or maybe forestry uses.
