Originally intended to be the seventh book in "The Great Model School War" series, this story took things to a stranger level when Jimmy, in ISCS science class, accidentally creates a machine that conjures sentient bacteria that they plan to use against their arch nemesis Branson. 30 chapters were written for the Table of Contents, which were probably done at the same time as the original TOC for "Return to the Tunnels" and "The TV Studio". The story sounds a lot like a Danny Dunn book, of which I was a big fan, but the machine itself was actually swiped from a Doraemon story.
The story itself was never written when the series became "The Adventures of Andy Campbell."
In the "Super Campbell" series of comic books, there was a running gag in which student Scott Chastain was constantly transforming into super-powered villains due to ISCS experiments gone wrong. In "The Great Model School War" and "The Adventures of Andy Campbell," the same gag is repeated, but instead it is Jimmy Kwak who is doing the experiments that trigger unexpected results (and no super powers).

A quick run (literally) into this place produced some quality shots and a desire to return to fully check the place out.
This is a giant complex which used to be a respectable machine plant, but has apparently lost its usefulness. It is currently half abandoned and half active and it is actually big enough not to matter. You could have a rave in the north end on a Monday morning and not one of the 100 people that work on the South end would ever know. In total, there is about two miles of structure to enjoy.

next I set abut a basic layout for the control cabinet. I decided on the best locations for all of my components and then marked off where I would need to cut the various openings to mount of those components.

I've also been thinking about a new sewing machine. The one shown here is a Singer 301 -- circa 1958. I love it, but it's very basic. Does straight lines, and that's it. Doesn't even have a zigzag stitch!
For a while now, I've been considering adding a second machine to my life. I'd like something that I can quilt with, and obviously, something with a zig-zag stitch. Quality is important to me -- I'd rather pay a little more, or get fewer features, but have a solid and well-built machine.
But, since I haven't used a modern machine in years, I'm not sure what else I want it to do.
Friends who sew and quilt -- what features do you use? What makes/models do you have? What do you like/dislike about your machines?
Looks like the machined the slot out by a rotating wheel taking bites from both sides and then the ends are drilled out. It left some burring inside.
