Why was it so hard to find pictures of a comparison between the UK (top) and US (bottom) Macbook keyboards?

Even though I'm in London, the US keyboard seems to be exactly the same as my VAIO's layout, and programming isn't such a chore - on the UK keyboard, to get a # you need to press Alt-3. Who would comment their code after a while?

I have recently been shown various flickr photos showing people's incredibly tidy, IKEA-furnished workspaces. Here's mine. It's not tidy and there is (almost) nothing from IKEA in the picture.

There was speculation that the new SMC 1.0 update would lock your clockspeed at 1Ghz. After updating, my clockspeed maxed out to 2Ghz as expected and my temperature climbed to 82C (using the "yes > /dev/null" trick) which is much higher than my normal operating temperatures of 50-65C. It's humming along at 54C as I type.

What is Windows XP doing on my Apple laptop?

Trying to capture the redesigned air-vents on the new Core 2 Duo model.

The teardown of my out-of-applecare Macbook Pro to replace a busted inverter for the display. It was actually a bit easier than I thought to take it all apart. The first inverter I received didn't fix it but luckily the second one did.

"The APPLE is MINE!!! AHAHAHAHAHAHA"

My new computer is a Macbook Pro 2.5 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo. 4 GB RAM running OS X 10.5.2.

Yes, I occassionally sleep with my laptop.

My desk as of Tuesday this week. 15.4" MacBook Pro and 23" Apple Cinema Display.

I am using a smaller bag, but it still has room for a laptop, a decent-sized book (even a 1000-page Steven Erikson hardback) and a professional camera.

This is what I've decided to have engraved on my Macbook Pro soon. I think it looks swell.
