One of the metal garden torches did hibernate in the garden. Today I discovered it again and to my big surprise and admiration a moss colony did keep the wick 'burning' now.
I will leave it like this !

A photo of moss using a macro tube. The moss was in a old wooden water tower that had just had the sides removed.
This photo, shot down the stereo microscope, clearly shows the club shaped gemmae which are a distinguishing characteristic of this moss.

I was looking out the window and saw all this moss on my Azalea bushes and decided to go take a Macro of it.. Then that led to the Twirl and then why not a Droste design in the PBAccelerator... I have taken pictures of just about everything in my yard and a lot of what's in my house and so now is play time...
