Although heritability estimates are significantly greater than 0%, they are also significantly less than 100%. As noted above, heritabilities are substantial, typically 30% - 50%, but this is a long way from 100%.... So intelligence is not an inheritance one can relay on!
thus inherited superiority by birth right is at best an ineffective way to give powers to small numbers of people over billions..

*von einer neuen serie: "Auf einem Straffgespannten Seil" * the above series evolved from my last years "musical compositions" set which brought personal memories of departed friends and their influence on my artistic life.
/the tightrope dancer/ depicted above, is the first of the series and is based entirely on the performance of one singer, one performance and a short lived friendship. The song titled "la revancha del Tango" so popular in the early 70's has come back with a vengeance; last visited it had over 196.000 hits!
For you classical music fans, I am linking this image to the new version of this classic; hope you like it: youtu.be/n-6lOwrGH_o
“I wanted to be an artist for as long as I can remember. On recalling my childhood it seems I was always drawing and painting. At the age of eleven I was allowed to paint a mural in our bathroom of a big lady wearing a red swimsuit dancing along a beach.
In 1986 I graduated from Leeds Metropolitan University with a degree in graphic design and worked for a number of years there as a graphic designer and illustrator before returning to Edinburgh to start a family. I have had various jobs and now work night-shift part time which allows me to paint avidly every day.
I like to draw on my imagination and find much of my inspiration for paintings in the humour, sadness, love and quirkiness observed in everyday life.”

Elmgreen & Dragset, Powerless Structures, Fig. 101. ARKEN Museum of Modern Art. Apparently this has been previously in Trafalgar Square - now in Denmark.
Jean Hélion (1904-1987) oil on canvas at the Tate Modern in London. Written near the painting: Hélion saw himself as belonging to the second generation of abstract artists in Paris, after pioneers such as Piet Mondrian and Theo Van Doesburg. He was an energetic promoter of abstract or non-figurative art, and helped to found international groups such as Art Concret and Abstraction-Création. He believed that abstract art, however radical, shared timeless values of balance, rhythm and composition with the great art of the past. In this small painting he creates a compositional unity through the visual resolution of vertical and horizontal forms and color relationships. Accepted by HM Government in lieu of inheritance tax and allocated to Tate in 2002.

*paper cut-outs applied to #15 roofing paper with sulfuric acid /recycled car battery fluid/ the shape, color and motif changes by the minute. It is therefore possible to create several images within a short time. I call it "vanishing art" The roofing paper may be used over and over. A face mask and industrial gloves are a must. Extreme caution must be exercised when working with acids of any kind.

How do I do this??
Minute amounts of water, windfall samples - organic and mineral - are collected from the very landscape depicted within each picture - and chemically bonded with the film over 12 months. The result: a developed film and unedited, printed images that are somewhere between a classic photograph and a totally abstract image, depicting the interaction between fundamental chemical elements present at each place & time, representing a more visceral and literal experience of being present in landscapes in a constant state of natural or unnatural flux.
