**inspired after seeing an 8mm film of my friend Beatriz Escobar doing her embrujo in the 70's for a view of a similar performance of equal intensity, see encl. clip: youtu.be/WcydgVexQ04

p.s. have not seen the film since the 70's, it was found with traded art and posters in my garden shack. In spite of the atmospheric changes the films were in remarkably good condition; they were kept in a metal ammunition container we used to buy at army surplus stores in the 70'

Part of the view of Victoria Harbour Hong Kong and the painting it inspired recently; from a 23rd floor balcony.

For expressionist painter Stephen B Whatley, who created the oil painting on location over the course of a day at the beginning of May, the vibrant colours and abstractions are his reality inspired by the spectacular panorama.

To the left of the photograph and interpreted in the painting is the IFC (International Finance Centre) Building, the fourth tallest building in the Greater China region; & the eighth tallest office building in the world.

Stephen B Whatley's major public commissions include architectural paintings commissioned to promote the BBC, Buckingham Palace & the Tower of London - where a Walkway of his series of 30 commissioned paintings welcomes visitors to the Tower, from Tower Hill Station.

I had to post this after watching a BBC show called "fake or fortune"

www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b0125bz7

apparently only one wealthy family in France has the right to say if a painting is a fake or real Monet(y)
