MINUSMA Force Commander Lieutenant General Dennis Gyllensporre visited Aguelhok accompanied by Sector North Force commander, MINUSMA Kidal Head of Office and a Chadian delegation led by the country’s Minister of Defense. The objective of the visit was to assess the situation and show support to the Chadian peacekeepers following the attack against MINUSMA camp in Aguelhok. The same day, MINUSMA Force Commander traveled to Kidal city, where he visited the wounded soldiers at the Togolese hospital and held a meeting with the President of the Coordination des Mouvements de l’Azawad (CMA), at the office of le Haut-Conseil pour l'Unité de l'Azawad (HCUA). Minister-president Mark Rutte en minister voor Buitenlandse Handel en Ontwikkelingssamenwerking Liliane Ploumen hebben afgelopen 2 dagen een bezoek gebracht aan Mali. Begeleid door Commandant der Strijdkrachten generaal Tom Middendorp bezochten zij de Nederlandse militairen in de VN-missie Minusma (Multidimensional Integrated Stabilisation Mission in Mali).
Visite de M. El-Ghassim Wane , Représentant spécial du secrétaire général des Nations unies, chef de la MINUSMA au contingent Togolais de la MINUSMA basé à Douentza après l’attaque terroriste ayant coûté la vie à sept Casques bleus Togolais. Il a profité pour présenter ses condoléances ainsi que celle du secrétaire général des Nations unies au Casques bleus togolais afin de les encourager à préserver la paix au Mali.

Burkina Faso is the largest troop contributor to MINUSMA, with 1,723 military personnel, including 38 women. They ensure the security of logistics convoys of MINUSMA, military operations for the security of civilian populations and the protection of MINUSMA camps.

The 2018 International Day of UN peacekeepers marked 70 years of Service and Sacrifice. 29 May offered a chance to pay tribute to the contributions of uniformed and civilian personnel to the work of the Organization and to honour the more than 3,700 peacekeepers who have lost their lives serving under the United Nations flag since 1948. The Secretary-General marked the day with UN peacekeepers from MINUSMA in Mali.

A checkpoint at the entrance of the MINUSMA camp in Timbuktu secured the peacekeepers of the Egyptian military police. The contingent of the Egyptian military police, with a total strength of 337 military personnel, participates in peacekeeping operations within MINUSMA. They provide security for logistics convoys and MINUSMA camps in Go and Timbuktu in northern Mali.

L’hôpital de niveau 2 de la MINUSMA à Mopti regroupe l’ensemble des spécialités allant de la médecine générale à la chirurgie, en passant par le dentiste. Les services sont rendus par un personnel toujours disponible et très professionnel, mais également très enthousiaste. Les Casques bleus du contingent pakistanais de niveau 2 a pendant les moments difficiles, rendu un grand service aux populations du secteur centre à travers les nombreuses prises en charge et évacuations sanitaires des blessés suite au nombreuses attaques qui ont lieu dans la région.

Soldiers from the Bundeswehr, the German armed forces, as part of the U.N.-led MINUSMA enforcement mission (United Nations Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission) on March 03, 2017 in Gao, Mali. MINUSMA troops are assisting the Malian government in its struggle against rebels that include a Tuareg movement (MNLA) and several Islamic armed groups, among them Al-Qaeda, in the north of Mali. Rebels have conducted a series of terror attacks to destabilize the current government in recent years. The Bundeswehr has committed helicopters and 750 soldiers to the MINUSMA mission as well as 147 soldiers to the EUTM mission (European Training Mission Mali) to train government troops. 2nd March 2017

A aeronave C-130H, da Esquadra 501, é uma peça fundamental na concretização da ponte logística intra e inter-teatro, destacando-se a capacidade de carga, a flexibilidade, robustez, versatilidade, raio de ação e autonomia. Aliado a uma tripulação certificada, capaz e pronta, torna-se num meio desejável em qualquer operação internacional.
É neste âmbito que a Força Aérea Portuguesa encontra-se integrada na Força Multinacional de Estabilização das Nações Unidas (#minusma), no Mali, desde o dia 29 de agosto, no apoio às autoridades do país através de operações que assentam na promoção e proteção dos direitos humanos.
Até ao momento, a Força Nacional Destacada, composta por uma aeronave C-130H e 47 militares – 41 da Força Aérea e 6 do Exército - realizou cerca de 90 horas de voo e transportou cerca de 500 pessoas e mais de 90 toneladas de carga, destacando-se das suas missões diárias, a entrega de alimentos e água potável.
