26. jūlijā Aizsardzības ministrijā aizsardzības ministrs Raimonds Bergmanis un Nacionālo bruņoto spēku vadības pārstāvis brigādes ģenerālis Ivo Mogiļnijs tikās ar karavīriem, kuri jau tuvākajā laikā dosies veikt dienesta pienākumus pretterorisma operācijā “Inherent Resolve” Irākā, Eiropas Savienības pretpirātisma operācijā "Atalanta", kā arī ANO vadītajā stabilizācijas operācijā Mali “MINUSMA”.
Aizsardzības ministrs uzsvēra atbildību, kas Latvijas karavīrus sagaida starptautisko operāciju rajonos: “Karavīra dienests ir viens no sarežģītākajām un visgrūtākajām profesijām pasaulē. Tā nav viegla izvēle. Tāpēc novēlu jums godam starptautiskā vidē pārstāvēt Latviju, saglabāt ne tik daudz fizisko, cik morālo izturību – esot prom no mājām, kā arī apliecināt sabiedrotajiem, ka viņi var uzticēties Latvijas karavīru profesionalitātei.”
Brigādes ģenerālis I.Mogiļnijs karavīriem pateicās par gatavību veikt dienestu starptautiskajās operācijās un viņu ģimenēm par atbalstu: “Vēlu veiksmīgi jums integrēties starptautisko operāciju vienību sastāvā, un godam nest Latvijas karogu!”
Jau tradicionāli svinīgajā pavadīšanas ceremonijā karavīri no aizsardzības nozares vadības saņēma ceļamaizi - Latvijas karogu un rudzu maizes klaipu.
Pretterorisma operācijā Irākā Latvija piedalās ar sešu karavīru lielu apmācības grupu, kas integrēta Dānijas kontingenta sastāvā. Irākā starptautiskās koalīcijas spēku karavīri veic Irākas drošības spēku apmācīšanu cīņai pret teroristisko grupējumu. Šobrīd ASV vadīto koalīciju veido jau vairāk nekā 65 valstis, tostarp arī Latvija.
ANO vadītajai operācijai Mali ir centrālā loma situācijas stabilizēšanā šajā valstī. Līdz ar atbalstu šai operācijai tiek stiprinātas ANO pozīcijas Mali un reģionā kopumā, lai nodrošinātu mieru, īstenotu samierināšanas procesu, aizsargātu civiliedzīvotājus un veicinātu cilvēktiesību ievērošanu, kā arī novērstu krīzes eskalāciju kaimiņu valstīs.
Eiropas Savienības pretpirātisma operācija ir Eiropas Savienības Jūras spēku militārā operācija, kas palīdz novērst un ierobežot pirātismu un bruņotās laupīšanas pie Somālijas krastiem. Šī ir pirmā jūras operācija, kas tiek veikta Eiropas Savienības Kopējās drošības un aizsardzības politikas ietvaros.
Šobrīd Latvija dažādos apmēros piedalās arī Eiropas Savienības Apmācības misijā Mali, NATO apmācības operācijā "Resolute Support" Afganistānā un ES Jūras spēku Vidusjūras reģionā "Eunavfor Med" militārajā operācijā “Sophia”, kas vērsta pret cilvēku kontrabandas un tirdzniecības tīklu.

Les environs du village d’Ogossagou situé à 144 kilomètres de la ville de Sévaré dans la région de Mopti au centre du Mali. Le village d’Ogoussagou accueille depuis plus de deux ans une base opérationnelle temporaire (TOB) de la Force de la MINUSMA. L’objectif de ce dispositif est de maintenir la paix entre les communautés qui, en février 2020 se sont violemment affrontées, causant plusieurs centaines de morts dont une majorité de femmes et d’enfants. Depuis déjà plusieurs mois et après la signature d’accords locaux entre les communautés, la paix règne à Ogossagou.

La Force de réaction rapide (QRF) jordanienne de la MINUSMA est composée d'une compagnie d'opérations spéciales pour sécuriser le personnel civil de la MINUSMA sur le terrain des opérations afin de fournir une assistance à la population civile dans les zones éloignées et difficiles d'accès en raison de la situation sécuritaire au Mali.

Une compagnie pluridisciplinaire de Casques bleussénégalais de la MINUSMA composée de la Force d'Intervention Rapide (QRF) versle chemin du village d’ Ogoussagou pour assurer la rotation de ses effectifsainsi que de ceux de la base opérationnelle temporaire. Le village d’Ogossagouest situé à 144 kilomètres de la ville de Sévaré dans la région de Mopti aucentre du Mali. Le village d’Ogoussagou accueille depuis plus de deux ansune base opérationnelle temporaire (TOB) de la Force de la MINUSMA. L’objectifde ce dispositif est de maintenir la paix entre les communautés qui, en février2020 se sont violemment affrontées, causant plusieurs centaines de morts dontune majorité de femmes et d’enfants. Depuis déjà plusieurs mois et après lasignature d’accords locaux entre les communautés, la paix règne à Ogossagou.

Le Représentant spécial du Secrétaire général et chef de la MINUSMA, Bert Koenders, s’est rendu aujourd’hui à Kidal, en compagnie du Haut Représentant de l’Union africaine et chef de la MISMA, M. Pierre Buyoya, dans le cadre d’une rencontre avec l’amenokal de Kidal (le chef traditionnel) Intalla Ag Attaher, des représentants du Mouvement National de Libération de l’Azawad (MNLA), du Haut Conseil pour l’unité de l’Azawad (HCUA) ainsi que des membres de la société civile.
Au cours de ces discussions, le RSSG a tenu à rappeler l’importance de l’accord préliminaire de paix signé récemment à Ouagadougou.
