Maui Surfboard Fence
Maui, HI
‎Wednesday, ‎January ‎17, ‎2018
This is the more famous surfboard fence on Maui. I have another shot from a fence at a hostile in Paia town that I like a lot better, but when you're on the island, and you see all the surfboard fence pics, this is the place. Absolutely beautiful property, but the boards are worn and weathered, where the fence at the hostile is bright and vibrant! Check that pic out too.

I'm claustrophobic, so you can imagine how much I enjoyed following Hailey into this lava tube!
Almost 1000 humpback whales gathered this year in Maui, mom's having their babies and males looking to mate with the females. Saw a couple breaches up close but missed the shots.

One of the many beautiful waterfalls on the Road to Hana in Maui. Not a drive for the faint hearted :)
The weather on Maui has been a bit nasty. Work took precedence over the small windows of opportunities to shoot outdoors. Hopefully you enjoy some archived shots.
This shot is of the Kalahaku Lookout at the summit of Haleakala. The high altitude clouds helped to stop down the rising moon creating a halo but still allowed the sprinkling of some stars. Moonlight reflecting off the top of the low altitude clouds make it appear like the surface of the ocean.
The summit of Mauna Kea on the Big Island, Hawaii can be seen above the safety railing on the right.
Have a nice night!
Sunset in Maui behind the Grand Wailea Resort. Still amazed at what the little RX100 can capture in a pocket size camera.

Merry Christmas Flickr! Here's the latest from Maui...
This part of the coast, along "the road to Hana", is home to the Seven Sacred Pools. The mouth to the Palikea Stream is just to the left of the white water.
After an all day drive on Maui's East coast we finally wound up here with some decent light. The only problem with this part of Maui is it's very wet. The rain would roll through for 5-10 minutes at a time where I had to take my shirt off and cover the camera with it. The good thing is that just before the rain hit I would get these vivid rainbows!
