Kölsch - All That Matters

There are things out there that I can't explain
There's not enough time to show you what it all means
So you need to get out there on your own
Make your own mind up, let your soul go
All that matters is where you lay your head
All I care about is that you're always safe
All that matters is where you lay your head
All I care about is that you're always safe
All that time i am running.
There is only one place i'd rather go.
I'd love to show you how everything works
But the truth just is, I don't know
All that matters is where you lay your head
All I care about is that you're always safe
All that matters is where you lay your head
All I care about is that you're always safe

On Sunday we went drove along scenic Highway 1 between Half Moon Bay and Santa Cruz, California. The sun was low when I took this shot of a couple absorbed in double-happiness.
I processed a soft HDR photo from a RAW exposure, then made the foreground slightly warmer, and the background slightly colder to make the image pop.

So close, no matter how far
Couldn't be much more from the heart
Forever trusting who we are
And nothing else matters
Never opened myself this way
Life is ours, we live it our way
All these words I don't just say
And nothing else matters
Trust I seek and I find in you
Every day for us something new
Open mind for a different view
And nothing else matters
Never cared for what they do
Never cared for what they know
But I know
So close, no matter how far
Couldn't be much more from the heart
Forever trusting who we are
And nothing else matters
Never cared for what they do
Never cared for what they know
But I know
I never opened myself this way
Life is ours, we live it our way
All these words I don't just say
And nothing else matters
Trust I seek and I find in you
Every day for us, something new
Open mind for a different view
And nothing else matters
Never cared for what they say
Never cared for games they play
Never cared for what they do
Never cared for what they know
And I know, yeah!
So close, no matter how far
Couldn't be much more from the heart
Forever trusting who we are
No, nothing else matters
So close, no matter how far
Couldn't be much more from the heart
Forever trusting who we are
No, nothing else matters
Couldn't let 12 years of marriage to Pix pass without mention.
Love you sweetie! 💕
I was extremely suprised to see that impressive SLR McLaren on an ordinary monday in Frankfurt. What's your opinion on the special colours?
Trust I seek and I find in you
Every day for us something new
Open mind for a different view
And nothing else matters

We stayed very late below the Tre Cime, hoping for a great sunset which didn't materialise, but it was beautiful just being there. It did mean though we had to head back in the dark, and were the last ones back to the car park, a wonderful finish to a. magnificent walk. It's only a matter of time till I return to the Dolomites again , they are one of my favourite places. Matter of Time is by The Low Anthem.
This Caspian Tern tried its best but could not reel in this carp. Alas, it was too big. I saluted the valiant effort and appreciated the photo op.

How was your weekend start? We hit it off pretty good this morning here at Belmont Harbor. What looked like it was going to be just a clear start turned into a sun rays show pretty quickly. Every summer I like to come here once on random day and try to get a keeper. No expectations, no planing, just trying to play the cards I was dealt. This year I added IR to the mix. What do you think?
In tallgrass still, the boat now lies,
Its bow turned up to watch the skies.
Once it danced through storms and spray,
Carried hope across the bay.
It bore new life and saved the lost,
Fought against the flood and frost.
Now faded paint and aching wood
Mark where something brave once stood.
The boy says, “Let me haul it free
It’s just old junk to you and me.”
She only smiles, her hand held flat,
“This boat remembers more than that.”
“They say some nights when fog drifts near,
You’ll see it on the water, clear.
No hands to row, no soul to steer,
Just something finding who needs here.”
So still it rests by weed and tree,
Not gone, not lost, just simply meant to be.
A former Illinois Central GP40 built in 1966 was leading a Canadian National SD40-2W and a SD75I southward on the former Wisconsin Central in 2004.
The Buffalo Grove Metra station was undergoing construction of a new shelter associated with the recent double-tracking at this location.
Surprisingly, the 3110 still exists as of 2020, although no longer in glorious black paint as it has been repainted into Canadian National.
Once a time queen of the line, the FS E412 Class lost her primary role along the Brenner route.
Replaced by Vectrons on the services towards Quadrante Europa, they are now mainly used as helpers for the other Mercitalia trains.
It is the case of this service coming from Civitavecchia led by an E494 which has been reinforced by E412.016 North from Trento.
It's also worth to notice that this double traction is something pretty "generational". E412s (Bombardier TRAXX 112E) are the "great-grandmother" of the E494s (TRAXX 3DC) and have been both manufactured in the same plant in Vado Ligure.

Candid street photography from Glasgow, Scotland. I love the sense of scale from the forced perspective that comes in this shot from first glance. Enjoy!

May 17th in England and for the first time in a very long time concert halls, theatres and other venues can now open to audiences but with a reduced capacity. So this is for all the musicians who can now get back to performing live on stage rather than via the internet. The above image is indeed an internet grab!
For me, though dating from 2017, this is 2021 track of the year so far and I'd dearly love to see Heilung play live. They are far removed from the musical dross of Saturday evening so-called "talent" shows and are so much the better for it. Original, ancient, captivating, this really is a song and a performance for the ages.
Try it. You might be surprised as to how it draws you in.
