Mason bees emerge from their nests in the spring. These solitary bees lay an egg in the whole and then block it up with clay where it grows until the following spring. Excellent native pollinators! This is the first time I've been able to get pictures of them emerging.

Mason comes from puerto rico. He was found, 5 1/2 months old, paralyzed, left to die by the side of a mountain road. He has severe hip dysplasia and 3 broken vertebres in his back. he probably wont ever be able to walk again, and uses a wheel chair to move around.
bully breed flew him here, found him a foster home and are 90% sure he has a permanent family headed his way.
No dog has ever impacted me the way mason has. he showed constant love, despite all the horror he has been through. he kept kissing and loving on everyone who came to meet him.
There is plenty of space on the shelves at the Mason Food Pantry on 4th Ave. in Mason where Gina Brown is Director, she hopes they will be filled soon now that the Warren County annual food drive is under way, it started on November 1st, and now the Warren County commissioners have stepped up and is planning to kick in $30,000 for food.
