Mason bees emerge from their nests in the spring. These solitary bees lay an egg in the whole and then block it up with clay where it grows until the following spring. Excellent native pollinators! This is the first time I've been able to get pictures of them emerging.

With a rich culture & rooted with a colorful hertiage, I'm certain there is a story behind each street name. Perhaps you once lived near or on such streets. Several people have made comments about the color & fonts used with the street signs in Santa Barbara --- all positive. So on how you look at the images from this series, the signs of the street names with colors of deep chocolate & white or brown & beige boarders using white letter fonts may vary. The fonts used with these street signs, as I've been told are: "Mission Style" fonts.

April 22, 2022 - 16th Century Masons' Guild Hall located at Sint-Niklaasstraat 2, 9000 Gent, Belgium. I am not sure when the modern glass addition was added to the building. "The Masons’ Guild House was built in a flamboyant Gothic style opposite the Sint- Niklaaskerk to show off the stone carving skills of the city’s masons. It eventually disappeared behind a later building. People thought it had been demolished and so in 1913 a replica was constructed at Graslei 8. The original was later found during building work and six modern dancing figures were added at the top." Mason City might be the centerpiece of Iowa architecture. We spent at night at the Historic Park Inn, the only hotel designed by Frank Lloyd Wright still operating, and took a stroll through a neighborhood that is home to the Wright-designed Stockman House along with homes by some of his acolytes.

Harvey Mason is probably the most recorded and most influential drummer /percussionist in this jazz and R&B and has worked with many jazz and fusion artists such as Bob James, The Brecker Brothers, Lee Ritenour, Herbie Hancock's Headhunters and almost all the Mizell Brothers productions with Donald Byrd, Johnny Hammond, Bobbi Humphrey and Gary Bartz.
This is the Mason County Parade that was held on July 11, 2009. This is an annual event at Mason, Texas and is held in conjunction with the Rodeo Weekend. The parade starts near the courthouse and circles the courthouse and then continues on through the town. This is the prelude to the Great American Jackass Race. Lots of floats and spectators.

Mason Neck State Park sits on a peninsula jutting out into the Potomac River, a major tributary of the Chesapeake Bay. The peninsula is the site of an active heron rookery and also attracts many other migrating and resident bird species, including whistling swans and assorted ducks. Bald eagles also inhabit the area. The park boasts hundreds of acres of hardwood forests and several wetland areas.
the warmer weather now making the mason bees very active laying their next generation in the now well appointed homes here in our garden.
