This is a flat magnet that has the map of the state of Florida on it. I want to collect magnets like this from all states and countries. In return, I can send magnets like this (or different Florida souvenir magnets), postcards, pressed pennies, kawaii, etc. Contact me if interested! Thanks :)

Next you will need some magnets. I used old plastic flex-o-mags from the Monopole Magnetic Corp (OK, I made that up). But you can use anything that will fit or be made to fit. Don't try to cut super magnets or ceramic magnets, you will hurt yourself and your friends will laugh.
Have you tried the magnet challenge? Free jewelry if you are magnetic. A few of us tried the magnetgate magnet challenge @ Union Square Park this past weekend during the Union Square Greenmarket, farmers market. Out of about 20 people who tried the magnetic challenge, (a line of people actually formed waiting to take the magnet challenge), about 15 people were magnetic though 10 people could be debunked as sweat and 3 people were magnetic who could feel and see the pull of the magnet. And the magnet did not fall off easily when shaken around. And some people got free jewelry. #magnetgate

Magnets made for exhibit included in Wine festival in my home town Subotica. This happened at the end of September.
Background motive is inspired by stained glass on Synagogue in Subotica. I also used transfer technique for text.
They were packed nicely with tags and explanation and I won a third place.
I was sooo happy. :)
ZEN MAGNETS - Neodymium Magnetic Balls (@723) - Space Cruiser Valkeree

Another original design-as-you-go type ship that didn't use any reference material.
I started with a central parallel solid core and added coupled layered details section by section. Modular wings and nose sections completed the distinctive shape.
Lighting effect = multi-color LED flashlight light projection
(@067) - Front Nose = (4+(3x6))+(10+12+10+6)+(5 top support)+(2 bottom support)
(@270) - Main Body (Core length) = 2x((42+46 core)+(46 top/bottom layer)+(1 top front))
(@016) - Main Body (accents) = 2x(1+1+1 staggered along top) + 2x(1+1+1+1+1 staggered along bottom)
(@037) - Top Bridge = (14+10+9+4)
(@018) - Mid Raised Fin along body top = 2x(4+5)
(@091) - Main Body (Engine section) = (2x(8+8)+(2x(6 triangle))+(5 ring rear center)+(14+6+5+4+3 top triangular panel)+(2x5 bottom round panel)
(@224) - Fins = 2x((24+18+13+16+16)+(3x6))+(7 raised fin))

Made using pins from a childhood toy. The magnets hold the pins on and act as a spine. Spirals, curves, and curves made from lines have always been my favorite shapes and designs.

Using a wooden mouse trap. Cover with scraps of paper and then dress the top up a little. The tiny accessory sets work best for these.
@dailyshoot #ds436: "Make a photograph today that illustrates attraction. Pick whatever definition of the word you'd like".
2001 I got new years wishes "lots of great points of attractivity": a box with a magnet and lots of iron filings.
This is the craft I had my students do for mother's day. EASY! Find a small colored photo from a magazine and cut to fit size of the glass melted marble looking craft item found at craft store or if lucky like me... the dollar store! White glue spread over magazine picture and glued to back of glass will dry clear. I allowed over night to dry. Attach sticky back large round black magnet to back or if unable to locate sticky type, use glue or glue gun and allow to dry completely before using. So much fun, so much variety... and very inexpensive! Learned this from a mom's group I was in at church called MOPS! :)
Yay!
This is in no way meant to be shmoopy. Nope. When I first (totally accidentally) made this, I in no way immediately went "I have to show this to Sparr because it is both magnets and a heart." Nope. >.>
This is what I do with old pogs: I paste on their other side magnetic sheet pieces and I make magnets :)
I love my magnets
At “Oh bej, oh bej” market 2011 in Milan there was a stand with magnets… MANY magnets! Just everywhere… very impressive and very nice to see!
Take a look at my photoblog: kjns.zyloxer.net/
My partner for the B is for Bottle Caps swap also said she collected cows so I made her this magnet, too.

Test firing the wave motion gun ... Zen style! ... green laser used to reflect off the magnets (no photoshopping ... all in camera shot) ... sorry, my red laser wasn't bright enough and I don't have a blue laser.

Added more detailing, underside engines, rear side body fins, turret guns - large and small (bent paper-clips), bridge antennas (small nails + 2 x 2-balls), two rear spines (medium nails + 2 x 1-ball), large center spine (large nail + 4-balls)
This final stage used @1582 and is utilizing the same process as the Canard Fighter of layering coupled and linked lines of magnets to achieve the desired shape and volume. This is basically solid, building from the inside out.
Note: Some magnet challenged changes and scale limitations: The center spine is a bit longer than normal. Did not make sense to make the secondary bridge below the hull. The bridge antennas were limited to two balls since any additional balls would make the magnetic field attract the two rear spines.
