Old Fort MacArthur days 7-2016

I'm still enchanted and mesmerized by my stay at the historic Hotel Fort Des Moines for business travel this week.

This beautiful, old hotel, where former celebrities, foreign royalty and presidents alike have stayed, has captured both my heart and my imagination. I have researched that it originally opened in 1919.

I hope to stay here again on my next trip to Des Moines, for business or for pleasure.

The Mae West installation is a number of features laid out on a stage which, when viewed through a lens, come together to give an impression of her face. (The original concept dates to 1934-35)
