Each of the room in the main building had people painted on the door. Room 1 was George Straight. This is room 2 and has the duel of Mae and WC. I found this an odd way to manage but it takes all kinds. The movie they made together was My Little Chickadee.

Bracelet on display as part of the "Jazz Age" exhibit at the Cleveland Museum of Art in Cleveland, Ohio, in the United States.

There are many ways to cut gemstones. In 1902, the Asscher cut was developed. The Asscher cut is square or rectangular with wide corners, a high crown, a small table and large culet. It became wildly popular in the 1920s for its geometric form and step-cut shape. Asscher cut gemstones went well with Cubist jewellry, which became move lavish and abstract.

This Cubist bracelet is made of platinum and diamonds. Although the maker is not known, it was probably made in France in the 1920s. It was once owned by the actress Mae West.

I'm still enchanted and mesmerized by my stay at the historic Hotel Fort Des Moines for business travel this week.

This beautiful, old hotel, where former celebrities, foreign royalty and presidents alike have stayed, has captured both my heart and my imagination. I have researched that it originally opened in 1919.

I hope to stay here again on my next trip to Des Moines, for business or for pleasure.

This is incredible... You have to hike on the back of a camel, look through a huge lens which creates the image you see. One of those tricky optical / perceptual illusion works of art by Dali. People on the side are pretty cool too! Shot in the Dalí Theatre and Museum.

I was having a coffee spotted the quote in the book - the quote represents the object on the left and the choices we make when trying a new coffee shop to the one we would normally frequent - which is exactly what happened on this day with this coffee shop without which I wouldn't have seen the quote... wraps it up into a nice circular chain of events...

Again seem to have lost my flyer for this group so I can't remember what show they were from (sorry!). Several of them were walking around the Mile dressed as WWII fighter pilots, with blood smeared on their faces.

Commemorative Marker #183 along the Spokane Centennial Trail is a little different, but I still like the thought.
