The combination of the deep blue and the orange made him look very viking, so we went with it. Orange gel by hand from the right, uv flash from above left, a little bit of diffuse white from the front as a fill. It could have used a little more fill.

This is a single 30' exposure at ISO 1600. I was trying out a Celestron f/6.3 Focal Reducer / Corrector lens on my 8" f/10 SCT. The vignetting was pretty noticeable, so I took a flat frame and subtracted it from the image. This is the final result.
In 1972, the company manufacturing the M2 series(Palmer Weapons Systems or PWS) realized that the M2S MKII was too long for paratroopers, and the small bullet didn't need such a long barrel. Thus, the 7.62X26 Magnum was developed to fit into a STANAG magazine. Then the old model was modified for full-auto function and the scope was removed, along with 8" of barrel.
