With all the mist and the water spray it was impossible to photograph this beautiful falls from viewing deck. I climbed down to the river father from the falls, so I could keep the camera dry. For this photo I used ND filter to make the water silky. Thank you all for visiting my photostream.

Lower Seletar Reservoir (Chinese: å®žé‡Œč¾¾č“„ę°“ę± äø‹ę®µ ; Malay: Takungan Air Seletar Bawah) is a reservoir located in the northeastern part of Singapore, to the east of Yishun New Town. The reservoir has a surface area of 3.6 km², and a capacity of 9.5 million m³. The mean depth of the reservoir is 2 m, with a maximum depth of 5.5 m. The shoreline length is 14.3 km.

Lower Seletar Reservoir was constructed under the Sungei Seletar/Bedok Water Scheme, completed in 1986. The scheme involved the damming of Sungei Seletar to form Lower Seletar Reservoir, the creation of Bedok Reservoir from a former sand quarry and the construction of Bedok Waterworks. Its unique feature was the construction of nine stormwater collection stations to tap the storm runoffs of the surrounding urbanised catchments. Eight of these collection stations are ponds at Yishun, Tampines, Bedok and Yan Kit new towns.

Elakala Falls No. 3

Blackwater Falls State Park

Davis, West Virginia

The Elakala Falls are a series of four beautiful waterfalls found along Shays Run in Blackwater Falls State Park. This was my first time shooting them, and I can't wait until I can make a return trip. There are no official trails leading to the lower falls, so one must scramble through dense thickets of rhododendrons, slippery rocks, and navigate around large boulders to reach the lower sections. This is the third waterfall in the series, and is the largest of the four- an impressive 40 feet in height.

This picture is three horizontal images shot at 12 mm and blended together.

"Yellowstone Falls consist of two major waterfalls on the Yellowstone River... As the Yellowstone river flows north from Yellowstone Lake, it leaves the Hayden Valley and plunges first over Upper Yellowstone Falls and then a quarter mile (400 m) downstream over Lower Yellowstone Falls, at which point it then enters the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone, which is up to 1,000 feet (304 m) deep." - Wikipedia

Rain is an uncommon event in Arizona dessert. On the first day of our trip there, in rained for about 36 hours straight causing our photo tour through the incredible Lower Antelope Canyon to be pushed to the next day and then a few more hours for the staff to make the hike suitable. What resulted was two days worth of tours crammed into one half-day's time. While the canyon was overrun with masses of humanity, the previous day's rain washed away the dust leaving vibrant colors and a lack of blowing sand (to the benefit of the cameras). A unique place, glad to have visited, but crazy experience. Enjoy!

While it looks like I'm hunched down and the passageway looks merely as tall for a human to walk through, it is actually about two to three times that high - the slot canyon goes down several stories.

To be Continued...

well maybe :P

Not really sure which era this build is in but I'm thinking either Phantom Menace/pre-clone war or TOR, I'll leave it up to your imaginations :P

Anyway, enjoy the build!

Also, anyone watch the Rebels S3 finale?

As always, C&C is appreciated and TFVAHAGD!

Not exactly the easiest place to shoot a long exposure from (shot from the Manhattan Bridge) because of the cars and trains that shake the bridge. It's still relatively warm in NYC so I decided to trek out to this spot that's long been on my NYC list. The spire of the Freedom Tower was lit blue and orange in support for the NY Mets world series run. The sunset was spectacular against the glowing lights of lower Manhattan. If you look closely you can also see the Statue of Liberty (though it's blown out).

Looking down Broadway in San Francisco with the Bay Bridge and the Port of Oakland looming in the distance. At times I wonder about all the objects that make up our lives and how we process them.

Consider the words of Shankara, the famous Hindu philosopher:

"All things -- from Brahma the creator down to a single blade of grass -- are. . .simply appearances and not real."

If this is true, just what the heck are we looking at? Maybe the lens does lie.
