The Under-The-Hill Historic District along Silver Street lies just below the Natchez Bluffs in Natchez Mississippi. This area was frequented by gamblers, river pirates, highwaymen and prostitutes in the early 19th century and was once described as "the most licentious spot on the Mississippi River." Natchez is a port city located on the lower Mississippi River in Mississippi. Print Size 13x19 inches.

Peirce Reservoir, located at the lower portion of Kallang Valley, was commissioned in 1912. It was originally known as the Kallang River Reservoir and was renamed Peirce Reservoir in 1922 after Robert Peirce, the Municipal Engineer from 1901 to 1916. The reservoir was again renamed Lower Pierce Reservoir in 1975 after the construction of the new Upper Peirce Reservoir. It was Singapore's second and largest impounding reservoir. The maximum capacity of Pierce Reservoir is 757 million gallons.

The Mansilla Reservoir is located in the Autonomous Community of La Rioja (Spain), between the towns of Mansilla de la Sierra and Villavelayo. It has a capacity of 68 hm³, occupying an area of 246 hectares. It is located on the Najerilla River, a tributary of the Ebro River. Its waters hide in them the old town of Mansilla de la Sierra, whose church and other buildings are visible when it is low.

The lower arch of Zion's Double Arch feature at the end of Taylor Creek Trail in the Kolob Canyons section. On the approach to this double arch, the intense saturated colors on the shaded red walls of the sheer cliffs was absolutely stunning.

We must have been there at just the right time of day when the reflected light from the red rocks on the other side of the canyon intensified the colors. By the time we were heading back, this effect was already beginning to fade.

Yosemite Valley, California

Before trekking to the standard Lower Yosemite Falls vista point, I made a detour to the left, immediately after the first bridge.

This was taken a little before 10am. A little bit later and the direct sunlight would have hit the waterfall and stream, which would have made it considerably more difficult to get an evenly exposed shot.

Here are two unused shots from early last year. With its beautiful Cotswold stone cottages, its shallow river, old watermill and low footbridges Lower Slaughter reminds me of Bourton on the Water, which lies just over a mile away. The River Eye (seen here) feeds into the River Windrush to the south of Bourton on the Water.
