Lower Silver Falls is located in Michigan's Baraga county on the Silver River. The Silver River has many drops, and they are lumped together into the Lower, Middle and Upper Falls. The Lower Falls are very easy to visit.

The falls consists of two chutes where the river is constricted to a narrow channel. The second is the larger of the two, and the river drops about 15 feet in a thirty foot stretch while taking a turn.

This secluded waterfall in Hamilton, Ontario is definitely a great location to photograph, particularly during the fall season.

Lower Slaughter a fascinating name, which derives from 'miry place'. The link is the tiny River Eye, tributary to the nearby river Windrush. Lower Slaughter is just off the Fosse Way. The village is considered to be one of the prettiest in the area and is well photographed and the village has been used for filming and productions.

Lower Largo is a small coastal village in the East Neuk of Fife.

The tide is low in the harbour and active fishing from here ended a long time ago, deep-sea fishing from Lower Largo actually ceased way back in 1909.

The old railway viaduct is testament to a different era when steam trains used to pass through here.

This image was taken in very early morning light, from Artist Point in Yellowstone National Park. The next time I visit Yellowstone, I will visit this location later in the day. On this day, the South Rim and North Rim roads were closed due to snow and ice. A gate blocked the road as I approached the area, and I parked alongside the road. A ranger happened to be in the area, so I asked if I could hike up to Artist's Point, even though the road was closed. He said that I could, but to be careful since he had just seen a large grizzly bear along the road, and fresh wolf tracks. I had some bear spray with me, so I decided to take the hike in the 12 degree weather (although I was not sure the bear spray would work after sitting in my freezing cold car all night). It felt very adventurous, with awesome scenery. I include this photo only as a memory of my hike. Horrible lighting.

Artist Point is one of the marquee overlooks on the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone River, with an exceptional perspective of canyon’s most famous feature, the 308-foot Lower Falls. It is estimated that between 5,000 and 60,000 gallons of water rush over Lower Falls each second, depending on the season. Looking across the gaping 1,000-foot deep chasm, the north rim of the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone River is about 3/4 of a mile (as the crow flies) from Artist Point. In the middle of Yellowstone National Park, the Lower Falls waterfall is located in a section known as the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone. This area is where Yellowstone gets its name.

Accidentally found this spot whilst being driven through Dartmoor by son in law Dave along with daughter Louisa, LJP40 on the way to Brentor Church. The bridge is an 18th century grade ll listed building which spans the Cherry Brook. Nikon D610/18-35mm.

I wish I could remember what I did here to make this happen. It must have been intentional - the photo before it on the roll was like this as well. All of the other photos are basically normal.

Theory: ND filter. I don't know why I would have done that here and with color, but maybe I did.

I will use ND filters with black & white photos, but I don't remember doing that this past summer (on medium format, anyway).

It was not night. Or dusk. It was stormy and the sky was dark, to be sure. But it wasn't Mordor dark. And you can plainly see that the sun is shining on the house.

But whatever I did, I'm glad I did it. Thanks, me.

Three waterfalls make up Sunwapta Falls. The first one is right near the parking lot. Naturally there were a bunch of people around which I try to avoid in my landscapes. So, we hiked down to the other two falls. This is the second one on the way down.
