Lowell body is interned a short distance from his 24-inch telescope.

If you love science and the stars, you need to visit this place.

I managed to not squeal like a little girl. Barely.

Pluto was discovered using this telescope, i.e. the astrograph within this protective dome building.

There were any number of cables and telegrams with suggestions on what to call Pluto before it was so named.

That's my husband next to the sign you see as you enter the Lowell campus.

Lowell Observatory, Flagstaff, Arizona - Exterior view of the building that houses the Clark Telescope. Unfortunately, it was closed due to ongoing renovations. The Clark telescope was built in 1896 and the dome is the oldest standing structure on site.

The photo does not do it justice. The thing is big.
