Una moneda que nos hicieron en las fiestas medievales de Ávila. Nos acercamos a uno de los puestos y allí estaban con un recipiente cargado de plomo fundido al fuego de unas ascuas. Puso una pequeña cantidad en un molde redondo de madera. Una vez templado lo paso al agua, y de ahí con un buen martillazo poniendo la pieza en su correspondiente molde nos hizo esta moneda de plomo.

I found the old pliers in my toolbox. Rusty and with some traces of use, it forms a nice contrast to the filigree red flowers. The diffused light in my small photo studio, facing north, provided natural lighting.
Die alte Kneifzange habe ich in meinem Werkzeugkasten gefunden. Rostbehaftet und mit einigen Gebrauchsspuren versehen, bildet sie einen schönen Kontrast zu den filigranen roten Blüten. Das diffuse Licht in meinem kleinen Fotostudio, das nach Norden ausgerichtet ist, sorgte für eine natürliche Beleuchtung.
Found in an old shop at Valencia. It should have been originally produced in the 50s. I wonder how many km it has driven :-)
The bubble bokeh was created by the lens; a happy surprise for me.

When I do still life I always overshoot ending up with many images of the same thing with slight differences ie. angle, light, size, position etc. Then when processing starts, usually only one or two pop out as the one.
If you have followed my streamed for a little while you'll see I've always been a high key shooter but lately I've come to embrace that low key/light results in the shot. For this shoot I even dialled down the exposure a few notches.
