Crazy Tuesday: Wet
Satsuma mandarin, still with leaf.
When I was a kid in Western Canada, mandarins were only available at Christmastime. They came from Japan in small, slatted wooden crates, and each mandarin was wrapped in pale, crinkly green paper. Seeing the "Christmas oranges" in the local grocery store was exciting proof that Santa's visit was not far off! (And he apparently liked them too, since he always put one in the toe of my stocking.) Even now, with mandarins available at different times from different places (this one came, wrapper-less, from the USA), I can't undo that childhood association. I see a Christmas orange. And that means: Santa's coming!

Imagina por un instante...
