OK, so they say that spring snow is a "poor man's fertilizer"...frankly I've had enough of this manure!
In the great Northeast with Pentax Gear. On a slippery walk to social distancing.
I decided to do a series using spoons, so here is the first one. I tried using my spoons but they all had tiny scratches on them, so I went out and bought a spoon for this purpose.
Here, I've laid the spoon on a sheet of music (Led Zeppelin), but I don't remember what song it was. If you can guess from the three words on the image, you win! :) I darkened the letters somewhat so they were more readable.
Inside the spoon is a crystal, the same one I placed in front of my lens on my image, "Bewitched Floral Waltz."
I went for a high key look here, something I rarely do.
Shot with Jena Pancolar 50mm f1.8, and 20mm ext tube.
#1 in Spoon series
No boots! Last walk I put her boots on and we fought the whole walk. She showed how much she enjoyed going without them on this one.
You can see my image and back scene in her eyes, not planned, it's hard for me to get a photo of her

A silent afternoon in the "leersumse plassen area" only the sound of a few geese, and a woodpecker in the distance.....
Loving kindness is the path to happiness.
Anger, hatred, misogyny, bigotry, and intolerance towards others never brings true happiness for yourself or others.
These two cats were abandoned as kittens in a nearby park and ended up living in my home until their passing a few years ago. They were totally devoted to one another as this image demonstrates so well.
Some wonderful lichen on a branch I saw the other day. May have to go back at another time in the day for the other great shapes as the light wasn't in my favour.
Better viewed large and thank you for your favourites.
Mt Rainier Scenic Railroad Santa train in Elbe, WA. The train was running this day with this 1929 American Locomotive Company tank 2-8-2 rod locomotive on this end and an EMD F9 on the other end of the train. The locomotive has uncoupled from the train and pulled forward so it doesn't block the crossing to the parking lot while in the station and at this time is getting the loving care she needs to keep running smoothly(being oiled). This was shot in color and converted to sepia. DSC_0165-HDR-1-1-2
I know most of us in the Nordic countries and other cold parts of the world quite dislike all the snow. Having to scrape the windows on the car, shovel snow to be able to walk in and out of your house. Getting numb hands if out taking pictures too long :-) But since I moved to Scotland, and coming back to Sweden during winter is rather nice! Love the winter wonderland at the moment. So I'll enjoy the days here for a another while, before heading home to Scotland :)
At the end of my parent's last visit my father tells me he purchased a 150-600mm zoom lens; would I like him to leave it with me to play with so I can see what it can do? YES PLEASE.
It's been a fun challenge to find spots to put the 600mm to use. First up: the Harrisburg fuel pad. Here NS 14G gets underway after topping off the two D9-44CWs, pulling an eclectic mix of coil cars.
