My brother recently passed away and he really, really liked pink roses. That there were a few rosebuds surrounding the bloom, would've pleased him very much. If you're looking down, dear bro, this one's for you!

I am off/on Flickr for the next few days and will then be away for a couple of weeks. It goes without saying that I won't be able to keep up with your lovely images right now, but do keep clicking away. I do want to wish each of you a Happy Holiday season!

There was an evening when strange clouds took over the valley, like in a movie. I was on the bridge in my countryside and other people stopped to photograph this strange spectacle, which then ceased with the arrival of a thick fog.

The Forest Pansy in Autumn mode in my garden.

It was blue-skies-and-sunny when I went out to take this, and not two minutes later I was lost in a blizzard. Like, a proper blizzard. I could not see the lamp-post 20 meters away. And then, fifteen minutes later, we had clear skies and sun, and now light snow again. It has been like this all day. There were eight of us in today’s lecture.

My hands were so, so cold when taking this photo.

I appreciated the small critters that munched their way to full bellies while feasting on this leaf. The open spaces are Nature's skylights. What a great view!

From the Ceredigion Coast Path, south of Aberystwyth. Maybe sunshine makes everything look lovely at this time of year?

This female Eastern tiger swallowtail has been frequenting my butterfly bush and lantana this week. She's a perfect specimen. The light was almost perfect this morning.

I hope you're all well. Thanks very much for your loyal visits.
