Weeds flourish where nothing else will grow.

There are only two ornaments on our Christmas Tree that have color. This is one of them.

Hope everyone has a Merry, Safe and Healthy Christmas.

As we have three grandkids who always need a little treat occasionally. We appear to have built up a reserve stash of these little packets and bars. This whole collection would fit on a paperback book so you can estimate their sizes.

In the shot are Cadbury’s Buttons, Curly-Wurly Bar and Freddo as well as Rowntrees Skittles and Fudge together with a tiny Wham Bar!

A very small grey cricket wanted to know what it's like when the world is blue........, so I made her request with pleasure ;-)

For the Looking close... on Friday! theme: "bokeh in blue"

Chinese knotting (simplified Chinese: 中国结; traditional Chinese: 中國結; pinyin: Zhōngguó jié) is a decorative handcraft art that began as a form of Chinese folk art in the Tang and Song dynasty (960–1279 CE) in China. The technique was later popularised in the Ming period and spread to Japan and Korea. Typically the knots are crafted using a single strand of thread.

This image is the detail from part of a pair of very old tassels (likely scroll weight tassels) - each one about 2ft in length.

I know, they’re not real. But when you live with someone who has Type 2 diabetes, it’s easier not to have them in the house!

Nach den süßen Kirschen haben wir ein Tellerchen rote Johannisbeeren geerntet. Herrlich, in den Garten zu gehen und etwas Essbares zum Naschen zu finden :)

After loads of sweet cherries from our tree this year we had two handfuls of 'Wimmelchen'. Going into the garden for a sweet treat, heavenly :)

Experiments for MM theme "Glass". An exciting challenge, there is glass everywhere around us - hard to choose :)

I'm looking forward to all the MM ideas.

And also my contribution for today's Looking Close on Friday's "bracelets". As a tribute to my dearest Grandma :)
