The magnolia tree is arching gracefully into my garden from next door. I had a rare day in the garden this day, as both the weather and the diary obliged. I have mixed feelings about the magnolia tree as its branches are breaking the fence. However, it is so beautiful in spring that I spare it. Although a little pruning wouldn’t go amiss.

For the theme Seashells. It is a shell from my very small collection of shells I have found on various beaches in Canada. The shell has to be unique in some way in order for me to take it home. I think most shells should be left on the beaches. But today, when I can’t go to the beach, I was happy to create this scene on my back deck. I placed the shell on a printed picture of flowing water that I took a few years ago. There were some orange fall reflections in the water and this background seemed to complement the colours of the shell. Happy Friday everyone!
