From Wikipedia:
A mirror, also known as a looking glass, is an object that reflects an image. Light that bounces off a mirror will show an image of whatever is in front of it, when focused through the lens of the eye or a camera. Mirrors reverse the direction of the image in an equal yet opposite angle from which the light shines upon it. This allows the viewer to see themselves or objects behind them, or even objects that are at an angle from them but out of their field of view, such as around a corner. Natural mirrors have existed since prehistoric times, such as the surface of water, but people have been manufacturing mirrors out of a variety of materials for thousands of years, like stone, metals, and glass. In modern mirrors, metals like silver or aluminium are often used due to their high reflectivity, applied as a thin coating on glass because of its naturally smooth and very hard surface.

Thank you everyone for your visits, faves, and kind comments
This is an unusual fence construction I saw at one of our campsites. The Virginia Creeper has found a crack to squeeze through so it could be in front of the fence. You don’t notice the crack it is coming through but if you check the chain link section, you will see it seems to tuck away into the metal slats, too. Someone really wanted to keep something out. This plant was determined to breakthrough. Where there is a will, there is a way. Happy Fence Friday.

This one I am posting for the theme “ bugs & co”. I was trying to follow the toad’s example and just chill on my back deck , when this oil beetle flew onto the deck post across from me. I had seen these insects a few times over the years. So I knew not to touch him. Another name for this guy is a Blister Beetle. That is due to the caustic chemical he secretes that can blister your skin on contact. He is a beautiful shade of blue but that’s where my admiration for him stops. This guy was about an inch long. We quickly and carefully got rid of him from the deck.

Happy New Year 🎊
And HLCoF to all participants 💧💧💧
Jag fick den av min mormor när jag var en liten flicka (och det var länge sedan) och jag har tagit väl hand om den. Den har hängt i granen varje jul sedan dess.
🎄🎄🎄
I got it from my grandmother when I was a little girl (and that was a long time ago) and I have taken good care of it. It's been a part of the Christmas tree decoration every Christmas since then.
Day of the Eggs! These Dia de los Muertos style sugar skull eggs, crafted by me, were created for “Looking close… on Friday!” and the theme eggs.
For the Looking - Close - on - Friday theme "A single miniature figure"
This is a silver figure that can sit on the edge of your auricle, a very special sort of earring 😉
