iPad drawing 28th June.A daily record of a woodland that I've been familiar with for 34 years. It is good to record these places in a very personal way come rain or shine. I like to see the place without making anything picturesque, rather setting down what's before me at different times of day and not overworking each piece, keeping it spontaneous and fresh. Inspired by Charles Burchfield and Emily Carr among others. In some ways a pendant to my Simon's wood series and to be part of my Looking Out exhibition.
Anywhere hot you appreciate shade; partially see-though shade is even better...

Normally I do crop to the rule of thirds since you can crop things to the rule of thirds in photoshop. So for today's theme for ODC I tried sticking with the Godlen Spiral. (as you could probably tell the first photo on that site was the inspiration for this photo.)
This is for the Our Daily Challenge Group
Today's theme is "Golden Rules"

There are beautiful and one-of-a-kind stories concealed behind the reflection of every closed window. Scenes that are being played out perpetually without the need of an audience.
Only when a window is opened, the stage lights go on and the outside world starts stealing quick glances to take in the larger-than-life tales safely hidden away inside.
As part of the 'Momentum' series, this image offers a multi-dimensional view of observation. Through a window's reflection, it presents a woman's profile superimposed on a traditional Asian landscape, symbolizing the dual nature of our engagement with the world around us. It’s an exploration of the inner and outer journeys that define our personal momentum through life.
Took this a few minutes ago! The roads in and out of the village are closed at least until 9am! It is still snowing! Its been a very long time since we've had such a large amount of snow! Just imagine what it would be like if it wasn't melting as well.
Hopefully it will stop before the morning and then it will probably melt quite quickly.
