Now c'mon, can you tell me this is not cute? ;-)
There's too much grain and the focus isn't what I wanted (shooting in too dark a room) but I'm actually really liked how cute and funny he was being today.

Explore February 3, 2009 # 395 / Notre Dame de Paris Notre Dame de Paris
Source: Wikipedia
Notre Dame de Paris Cathedral, a masterpiece of early Gothic architecture, is a prominent feature on the Île de la Cité, a small island in the Seine. The cathedral has ogival (pointed) vaults, an innovation of the early Gothic period.
Situated at the southeast end of the Ile-de-la-Cité. The first stone of the cathedral was laid by Pope Alexander III and Louis VII in 1163, on the site of an ancient Merovingian cathedral. The general structure was completed by 1245. After suffering much damage in the 18th century, Notre-Dame was restored by Viollet-le-Duc in 1845-64.
It's a magnificent example of the first two periods of Gothic, particularly the west front and the transepts (all with great rose windows), the chevet (French term for an apse with an ambulatory and radiating chapels), the towers and the portals.

we are really lucky to have such a beautiful walk to school.
the path is currently covered with yellow leaves.
as the wind blew this morning, leaves fell down on us which made the boys laugh with delight.

I entered the Open House London photography competition, it's theme was 'The Changing Face of London' and my photograph 'Looking Out' came third. I am really pleased by the publication in sponsor magazine Architects Journal, although sadly they got my name wrong. No links to galleries either which is a double shame. That said, I am still pleased to have been picked!
Have a nice day/evening! :-)

A long exposure of City Hall, Frisco, TX. This building has some great structure and texture for photography.
I massaged this quiet a bit, trying unsuccesfully to get rid of the noise in the windows. It is much better than it was, it was like a starry night at first.
