Another revisit to a shot of Stace on top of Angel's Landing in Zion National Park near the end of our 3.5 month road trip.
“Set wide the window. Let me drink the day.”
―(Edith Wharton)―
Horace, the cat, is obsessed with windows, and can spend minutes, hours or sometimes it seems eternities sitting in front of one, taking in every detail of the universe beyond.

Mom's surgery went well. We have her follow up appointment today and they will remove the bandages. This image was taken at our consultation appointment before the surgery.
Yesterday we got in a pretty bad car wreck. My mother was resting at the condo and Garry and I headed to Popeyes Chicken. The chicken was fantastic but the drive back wasn't. We are pretty certain the car is totaled. No serious injuries, mom's fine, and I'm so glad she wasn't with us!
I had my good camera with us but was shaking so bad I had no desire for photo ops. I used my iPhone instead. Tomorrow I'll post a crappy picture from the wreck.
IPad brushes June 2016 A daily record of a woodland that I've been familiar with for 34 years. It is good to record these places in a very personal way come rain or shine. I like to see the place without making anything picturesque, rather setting down what's before me at different times of day and not overworking each piece, keeping it spontaneous and fresh. Inspired by Charles Burchfield and Emily Carr among others. In some ways a pendant to my Simon's wood series and to be part of my Looking Out exhibition.
Red for the rose, nightingale for the singer: the shot was taken in the coffee bar called "the rose and the nightingale" which belongs to the famous greek singer Tania Tsanaklidou (Milies -Pelion- Greece)

Several cars drove through this shot. The ghosting seems to give it a nice touch.

A reflective man before a window at the Rideau Centre in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada... follow his gaze...
Observing a scene, ambulance, rescue, winter spinning its crazy white haze where Rideau Street meets Colonel By Drive.
