The biggest pile of logs I've ever seen appeared in a field on the back road to Leamington

70 814 passes through Clitheroe with 6J37 Carlisle New Yard - Chirk Kronospan (The Logs) in the last rays of the sun, it was "a damn fine close run thing"! Not a bad result with a second hand lens which cost me £150!

I must say this is a lovely old barn! The quilt pattern is a familiar one. Set together this way it is often referred to as "Courthouse Steps". 15 of these painted quilt blocks were installed last fall on farmers' barns around Racine County.

I used all the small 1 1/2" strips and bits, sorted by color and combined with white, to sew six big logcabin style blocks. With this quilt and the two before I managed to use 3/4 of my cut 1 1/2" strips.
This log cabin, located between a car dealership and a janitorial supply company, has intrigued me for decades

Not sure if anyone ever actually used this for shelter but found this well built log hut along the shore of Lillooet Lake.
